The staff were very friendly and let us extend our check out time with no extra charge, which is rare in Egypt. Hotel pool and panoramic restaurant best features. Only negative point was had to cross incredibly busy road to use ATM and hotel taxi driver was extremely greedy.

We only required this hotel for one night before an early morning flight, but we wished that we had more time to stay! We were upgraded from a King Guestroom to a Royal Suite, and our room was larger than my apartment; we had 25% of the 14th floor, including an excellent view. The hotel is difficult to find with zero atmosphere surrounding it, but the staff are warm and the facilities of good standard. Although it's clear why the new Hilton is opening ASAP on Zamalek, the WTC Residence is a fine, more affordable option.

The Meridien is doing well for what is obviously a very tough time. There were only a handful of guests.
Many of the facilities were closed - all except one restaurant, which served only a buffet; the Business Center; poolside facilities (no lifeguard, bar or food service) - as were, I'm sure, many other tourist-oriented places in Cairo.
What there was, worked fine. They found for me an excellent driver/tour guide, an absolute necessity in Cairo.
The exception: my wakeup call for the airport never came.
Terrific view of the two largest pyramids.

Le Meridien Pyramids truly is a home away from home, especially if you have small kids with you. They have comfortable beds, relatively inexpensive room service (which we did every dinner), great AC in our room, large bathroom and you can have a pyramids-view room. Internet access, wirelss or via ethernet, is available for an extra charge (can't comment on the internet speed since we didn't buy some internet time.) The pool is relatively large with the majority of its space at least 6-ft deep. Also, not only is the hotel within walking distance (if it's not hot/humid) to one of the entrances to the Giza Pyramids complex, it's also not far from Cairo and a convenient base to explore the southern pyramids/sites. Getting taxi right outside the hotel is easy and convenient.

The only missing is regular transportation provided
by the Hotel from the Hotel to Cairo or airport, a facility which the Hotel can use to increase its guests since the the Hotel is far from down town Cairo.
The limousine service might not work for everyone.

Good 4-star value for money. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Everything works. The gym and the pool are not big, but sufficient for a little relaxation. Only gripe was quality of breakfast, all rather run-of-the-mill. Well situated 300 metres from metro.

Great location. A bit pricey for what you get for US standards

The room was pretty standard, but considering that for the same $220 per night you can stay at the Venetian in Las Vegas, the Intercontinental is quite pricey for what you get. Internet was not free, but not overly expensive, although the speed wasn't very fast. The Lebanese restaurant has great quality food, although pricey. The location is really good as it is in the middle of down town, and you can walk to the Egypt museum in 10 minutes, and a short 4 metro stops will take you directly to the Hanging Church. There was a wedding on one of the days we stayed there, and they blasted the music from the 2nd floor restaurants so loudly that when talking to the reception, I couldn't hear him talk from across the counter. However, I guess that is normal for middle eastern weddings. Breakfast buffet was fairly good, but for the same $30 per person, the buffet in Las Vegas blows this away.

ただ、部屋に置かれていたミネラルウォーターが高い！(ウェルカムドリンクかと思ったら有料)
インターネットは有料で使えるが分かりにくい(IDとパスワードx2種類を渡されるが)どこでどれを入れればよいのかがわかりずらい！
また、部屋に置かれていたアイロンを使ったら、鉄錆？が付いていて、白色のチノパンに汚れが付いてしまい、再度洗いなおす事になってしまいました。(結局少し跡がついたまま)
直前に宿泊したメリディアンホテルが良かっただけに、その他さまざまな部分で不満を感じました。

Overall, my husband & I had a pleasant stay at this hotel even with the renovations that were happening there (which we were aware of at the time of booking). All of the staff are wonderful and super helpful. Upon check in, we received a free room upgrade which was wonderful but the downside was that we had to wait for an hour & a half before it was ready for us.

Had a nice stay. The rooms were big and very clean. Was close to Thariri Sqr and in downtown area. The only draw back was the sound from the traffic and the music playing on the Nile boats. I was located on the 18th floor and still the music managed to disturb me. I am amazed whether it was the quality of the speakers or was it poor sound proofing on part of such a big hotel. But overall the stay was nice in hotel and their restaurants were good too.

I had a very attractive rate in the January sale for the Ramses Hilton. It is a Hilton so the room was spacious and clean, but it was clear that it needs renovation as so many things were broken. The service staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect near Tahrir Square and the Egyptian Museum, but that also means that there is lots of traffic.

Good location for transit travellers

Stayed in the Medirien on an overnight transit in Cairo, when it offered the best valye deal in the internet. It is located not far from the airport and has its own shuttle service. The hotel was fine except for small annoyances in the room, like missing phone number list, unreadable remote control buttons, and room service menu's without phone numbers.

My wife and I stayed at the InterContinental for one week while visiting family. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The lifts worked perfectly at all times. Our interactions with the staff were professional and friendly. We did not use the dining room as we ate with family or at restaurants. The area is very safe and convenient. I would stay there again. Although a number of museums are nearby also a big mall attached to the hotel , we didn't do any sightseeing this trip as we concentrated on spending time with family

The hotel was great and had a good view of the Nile. There are other cheaper places you can stay at though with the same level of service. Overall I am happy with the service though. I accidentally left my credit card at reception and the guys found it and delivered it to my door. I was quite relieved by that!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My only issue was with the location. It very far from City Center making the taxis very expensive. The room itself was very good. Plenty of space and the bathroom was up to par.

Never again in Cairo

Someone accessed our room without our consent. They moved us to another room, at 9pm someone tried to access the room 8 times but failed. The toilet ran, even after it was "fixed". The sink leaked all over my clothes and flooded the bathroom. Also, they stated that they "did not receive" the email with billing information from [...] so I was forced to use my own creditcard. So essentually I paid [...] for the hotel room, then paid the hotel, so I paid double and am still trying to figure our with [...] at this very moment how to resolve this issue so I am not double billed.

Good hotel, fair location

This is a nice, good hotel for Egypt. I say that because standards for Egypt seem to be lower than other places. That being said, the hotel was very clean (unlinke most things in Cairo). The breakfast buffett was very large and had great variety. The dinner buffett was over priced. The Thai resturant was EXCELLENT!!!!
The location of this hotel is NOT in a major tourist area. The hotel is actually in Giza, not Cairo. It is next to only a few other hotels and walking distance to the Great Pyramids of Giza, but far from everything else in Cairo. However the area around the hotel is safe and we had no problems walking around alone.
I would reccomend this hotel if you want to spend a lot of time at the Great Pyramids of Giza since you can walk there from the hotel. However if you want to spend a lot of time in Cairo, stay somewhere in Cairo.

The check in took 30 minutes and the concierge was very rude to me. I was only there for one night but a 30 minute check in is ridiculous. I was very tired when we arrived so I wanted to immediately go to my room. I wouldnt not have minded the 30 minute check in but i was the only one checking in and nobody else was waiting. Other than that little snafu is was a nice place.

It was a nice hotel. The food and beverages were a bit pricey and not the best quality. Room service was great! The pool at the spa was amazing!

Close to the airport and they arranged tours to the sights at very reasonable prices... but it was easy for a couple to drop 200 USD in food each day. I suggest if you are coming to Cairo to bring your own booze and before you leave the airport go to the super market near terminal 1 and pick up some snacks to keep the bill down. The staff was great, the rooms were great and very very clean. The pools were exceptional, I don't golf but our room overlooked a very well kept fairway. Enjoyed staying here and I have already suggested it to a friend.

Breakfast team is very good. But some more training they would be excellent. The house keeping teams very good. Overall experience is good.
The only setback is that the hotel needs to renovated. Carpets, paiting, Faucets, closets, oilets Etc.
