Moevenpick Resort CairoPyramids Rooms

- 42 sq2 room with twin bed, close to main hotel building and pool. Surrounded by gardens in a quiet location.
- Standard
- 42 sq2 room with twin bed, located near the main hotel building and close to the road.
- Suite
- Family Suite. 97 sq2, Ground Floor, Garden view. Consisted of three connected rooms. One bed room with large bed, one salon with sofa and kitchenette and one bed room with two separate beds. Each room with its private external terrace and private bathroom
- Suite
- Business Suite. 83 sq2, first floor. One bed room with queen bed, one living room with kitchenette, one bathroom and one terrace.

- Garden Suite. 94 sq2. Ground Floor, Garden view. consisted of two connected rooms. One bed room with large bed and one living room. Each room with its private external terrace and private bathroom.

A long weekend at the pyramids
We were independent travellers [...] We stayed went for a long weekend to visit the Pyramids. The hotel was like an oasis - quiet and clean with good food and excellent staff.

Sightseeing tip:
In Hotel
The MISR rep in the hotel organised all our trips including an excellent guide to the pyramids ( we had planned to do this alone but would have missed so much if we had), dinner on the Nile, a visit to the Egyptian Museum and Old Cairo and the sound and light show. We had a brillian time.

Good hotel, fair location
This is a nice, good hotel for Egypt. I say that because standards for Egypt seem to be lower than other places. That being said, the hotel was very clean (unlinke most things in Cairo). The breakfast buffett was very large and had great variety. The dinner buffett was over priced. The Thai resturant was EXCELLENT!!!! The location of this hotel is NOT in a major tourist area. The hotel is actually in Giza, not Cairo. It is next to only a few other hotels and walking distance to the Great Pyramids of Giza, but far from everything else in Cairo. However the area around the hotel is safe and we had no problems walking around alone. I would reccomend this hotel if you want to spend a lot of time at the Great Pyramids of Giza since you can walk there from the hotel. However if you want to spend a lot of time in Cairo, stay somewhere in Cairo.

The hotel management insets to charge my stay and refused the payment through the [...], they take double charge (Egyptian way of taking others money)

Good for one night
The check in took 30 minutes and the concierge was very rude to me. I was only there for one night but a 30 minute check in is ridiculous. I was very tired when we arrived so I wanted to immediately go to my room. I wouldnt not have minded the 30 minute check in but i was the only one checking in and nobody else was waiting. Other than that little snafu is was a nice place.
