Phenomenal River Nile views at this downtown luxury hotel
Fantastic service and great style are Hilton trademarks. Add a world-class river view, the highest quality amenities and a central location and you have the makings of a perfect trip to Cairo. One of the best places to enjoy the service, style and view, as well as a superb meal, is at the on-site Windows of the World restaurant. But even if a few laps, an energizing workout in the fitness center or lounging by the outdoor pool is a more appealing, Ramses Hilton guests can still enjoy the stunning scenery with the River Nile as a grand backdrop.Highlights
- Excellent, central location
- Video arcade on site
- Pet-friendly property
Rooms
Ramses Hilton guest rooms feature the signature, well-designed furniture and high-quality linens in classic colors. Expect modern amenities like high-speed Internet access (fees apply), large televisions with premium channels, and easy-to-use alarm clocks. Reserve a suite at Ramses Hilton for additional space and upgraded amenities. An executive suite entitles guests to Executive Club Lounge access and complimentary breakfasts.Features
With all the excitement, charm and mystery of Cairo just beyond the Ramses Hilton, and refined tranquility within the guest rooms and suites, this is an ideal combination. The perfect location makes sightseeing simple. Visit the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx, less than an hour away, or the Egyptian Museum, only minutes from the hotel. Al-Refa'i Mosque, the Coptic Museum and the Citadel are all worth a visit, too, if time permits. Of course with a shopping mall, video arcade, fitness center and stunning outdoor pool, there is plenty to do at the Ramses Hilton as well. Choose from seven on-site restaurants, with menus featuring great cuisines from Mediterranean to Indian. But be sure to have at least one dinner at Windows on the World, where the food and the view are both spectacular.Transportation

Nile Gem
This hotel is the perfect Cairo base to see things. It is next to the Egyptian Museum and within a short distance of many Cairo sights. The staff was the best part of the hotel. They spoke English and went out of there way, from the bellman, security, registration, etc to make us feel welcome and comfortable. This hotel has great restaurants, shopping, and services. Everything we needed was able to be arranged by Hilton. We overlooked the Nile and had a beautiful 18 story view of the river and city.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is a large Hilton Shopping Center across the street from the hotel with McD's and tons of shopping. The security is very good at both the hotel and shopping centers. Let the staff help you find whatever you need.

Nice Hotel and Good service
Had a nice stay. The rooms were big and very clean. Was close to Thariri Sqr and in downtown area. The only draw back was the sound from the traffic and the music playing on the Nile boats. I was located on the 18th floor and still the music managed to disturb me. I am amazed whether it was the quality of the speakers or was it poor sound proofing on part of such a big hotel. But overall the stay was nice in hotel and their restaurants were good too.

Really great service here, from
Really great service here, from the front desk, the bellman, the hosts in the restaurant as well as housekeeping staff people smile and it feels genuine. My room was clean with an amazing view of the Nile. If you are thinking of booking here pay a little extra for the view... its worth it! The breakfast is the best in the world with a dining room that faces the Nile. I love the location because if your brave enough to walk across the traffic... there are amazing things to discover on your own in all directions! Mercedes and beat up cars, chickens, goats, horses and people of all persuasions and dress...Wow! Within two blocks of the Egyptian Antiquities Museum, across the street is a great place to walk along the Nile and just a taxi ride away from the Great Pyramids of Giza.

lovely hotel with fantastic food
lovely hotel with fantastic food and facilities. was hard to get away form the noise of Cairo. room was good but perhaps could use double glazing on the door to the balcony to make the room more quiet, especially at night when you're trying to sleep.

An excellent hotel
I really liked the Ramses Hilton. The service was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast (included in the price I paid) was outstanding with a great deal of variety (including hibiscus juice). I had a really nice room on the 22 floor with a view over the Nile, Cairo (including the Citadel and the Alabaster Mosque) and the pyramids in the distance. So after a busy day sightseeing, I enjoyed sitting on my small balcony and just looking at the view. The location is wonderful. One can stroll along the Nile, walk to the Cairo Tower, and the Egyptian Museum is just across the road - actually several busy roads. Crossing roads anywhere in Cairo can be a bit challenging at first but after a while it gets quite easy. My room high up was not noisy - rooms lower down could have traffic noise. For those concerned about safety, the hotel has excellent security. Every vehicle coming in is sniffed by dogs and there are metal detectors at the entrance. I was surprised and very pleased by the friendly and individual attention of all the staff I met- particularly praiseworthy given the large size of the hotel.

Extremely busy hotel catering
Extremely busy hotel catering for big tour groups and local weddings! Although the location is right opposite the Nile and the Egyptian Museum, there is little else to do in the area. Dated hotel, with 'patchy' service at best. If you get the hotel concierge to hail a taxi, don't bother as it will cost you 3 times the amount of a taxi hailed from the street.

Good value but tired
I had a very attractive rate in the January sale for the Ramses Hilton. It is a Hilton so the room was spacious and clean, but it was clear that it needs renovation as so many things were broken. The service staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect near Tahrir Square and the Egyptian Museum, but that also means that there is lots of traffic.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you travel a short distance within Cairo, why not stop one of the thousands of black-and-white taxis in stead of getting the limo that the hotel will get you.
