Great location. (ME 06/09) Its a low rise modern block. Hotel is ideally located in the heart of the downtown area of Hurghada, at 7 km from the Hurghada International Airport, only at 200 meters from a private beach and in the middle of a huge shopping arcade.

EXCELLENT and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I prefer to stay in lower priced hotels and spend my money on excursions, tours, souvineers, gifts and food. Rooms were very affordable when we went to the Triton Empire Inn on April 2009. Only eighteen dollars for two people, all you can eat breakfast with omlette on request bar, pastries, breads, meats. Optional Fresh squeezed Orange Juice cost 12 pounds - about two US Dollars per glass, but other juices were included in the meals. The all you can eat dinner also excellent. You can also order off of a menu but at an additional price - save money and eat the buffet. A very large clean pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Sign up in the lobby for the ATV ride in the desert - it is like a four wheel motorcycle you drive, and includes going to a mountain, ride a camel, eat a Bedouin (native Arab Nomad) meal, all included in the optional excursion. Also take the Boat Excursion that you can swim or rent mask fins and snorkle, or bring your own. Delicious lunch is included in the excursion. No scuba tanks - though - try a different off-site provider if you want to scuba dive. The water in the Red Sea is so crystal clear and beautiful. With luck you will see a dolphin swim alongside the boat while the boat is cruising through deeper water. Its a big deal and the boat stops for everyone to see and take pictures or videos, so be sure to bring your camera everywhere. Both the boat and ATV people will offer you a CD/DVD of your trip. Use some of the money you saved on the room rates and buy these for treasured memories.

Shopping tip: Not Applicable

When buying trinkets/souvineers don't always accept the first price they say. Remember to buy with the local money Egyptian Pounds also called guinnie, and the cents are called piasters. Right now the exchange rate is 5.62 to the dollar - so when you exchange a dollar at the bank you will get 5.62 pounds back or 100 dollars you get 562 pounds back. Ask for a discount and see if you get a lower price. Don't be afraid to walk away if you don't like the price. On plaster statutes make sure they wrap and pack very well to protect the surface, as on your reutnr trip home the items click into each other and the pain chips off, exposing the unfinished white plaster.
