Personally I didn't like the bed - it was too soft.
Also I didn't find the breakfast so good as it was 2 years ago: the variety of products is reach but not very tasty.

The hotel was an excellent value when compared to other hotels in the area. We had prebooked an non cancelable room. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the center of the city. The hotel is very large and has all the amenities; king bed, coffee maker in room, separate bath and shower, refrig, and a great full gym, finnish bath(sauna) and a swimming pool. It would have been good to have known that the Finnair Bus goes directly from the airport to a stop right in front of the hotel. It cost 6.20 euros. We would stay there again.

Great value in Helsinki

First, I would definitely stay here again. It's close to the sights for a tourist, the rooms were comfy, the breakfast was good and convenient, and you get to sweat with some naked Finns for free. The price was right and I thought it was a great value.
The Grand Marina is a big hotel located near the main harbor area in Helsinki. It's walkable to all the sights, but being on the periphery, it's nice and quiet. It's about a 15-20 minute pleasant walk from the main train station. There's a supermarket nearby, but not a lot of bars / restaurants in the immediate area. However, the bar / restaurant at the hotel is nice. Tram #4 stops about a block away from the hotel. It's close to the Viking, Linda Link, and Suommenlinna ferries. Despite the fact that it's pretty much in a dead-end area (on an island), there's a lot of traffic due to the ferries, but I didn't find the traffic noisy at all. Despite the proximity to the harbor, there's not much of a view from most of the hotel due to other buidlings.
I was able to check in early after an overnight flight, so I was pretty delighted no matter what the hotel did after that. The room was okay (a little small), but very functional and you don't feel crowded at all. I guess the hotel is limited because it is built into an old warehouse, but in a land with plenty of space, the rooms could be bigger. It was very clean, the bed was comfy, and there was enough space for all my stuff.
The hotel gets pretty busy. It seems more a business hotel than a tourist hotel. The freebie breakfast gets a little crowded at times, but the food is excellent (big spread with all the usual Scandinavia breakfast fare). There's a free sauna to complete your Finnish experience by sitting next to a bunch of naked Finns. Try it, I'm not a sauna-guy, but it was fun (my naked Finns were quite chatty and sociable despite what I read). There's also a little gym there and free bikes for use, another fun thing for this Helsinki tourist.
I had only good experiences with the staff. They were very nice and helpful. Check-in and check-out was smooth. There's a little gift shop at the hotel with standard Helsinki prices. I think there's free parking at the hotel. The WiFi worked perfectly from my room.
I thought it was a very good value. The price was at the lower end of Helsinki hotels (my room was about 140 usd/night), so I was pretty happy.

Althought the room was on the small side, this hotel had a comfortable bed, quiet room with double-paned windows and excellent wi-fi. The decor was pleasing and the breakfast was stellar.

The hotel has a fairly central location - just a few hundred meters from the train station, and near to the Kamppi shopping centre. The breakfast is really nice. The room wasn't particularly pretty, but served the purpose for one night.

Stayed in executive room. Very comfortable. Staff on Reception staff lovely , very friendly and helpful. Excellent English. Room service too limited time available and restaurant expensive. Lots of cafes and good restaurants nearby. Internet free but very slow ! Sauna clean and small . No one there so good to relax . The bus and boat tours a must. Ask the staff. Hotel beside bus station ( bus to airport few steps away and cheap ) and rail station.

Good location, helpful staff, good breakfast, modern rooms, but on a very hot day our room's air conditioner did not do the job, so they gave us a fan. Easy bus route to/from the airport via a Finnair shuttle for 6.3 euros. Business center with internet access.

Hotel was clean and hotel style was very chic! Hotel staff was very friendly, helpful, and informative. Thumbs up on the location. The hotel restaurant "Grill It" had great food, but the food took a long time with almost an hour wait after we ordered. Breakfast was just as good!

City is small, so location was not bad, although the area is quite commercial. Buffet breakfast was fairly good, despite bad coffee. Room was tiny. Excellent blackout curtains for those 20-hr sunny days in summer. Helsinki is a costly city; this hotel was a decent value in relative terms.

I was very impressed with the hotel. Our request for a queensize bed could not be honoured but they did accomodate us the first night in a suite at no extra cost. The following day we moved into a room with a double bed. Thee suite was lovely but right across from the hotel was a disco and having arrived after midnight and a long flight it was a little noisy but it was ok. The staff was very accomodating. Would recommend the Simonkentta to anyone. Centrally located and with the weather in Finland the convience of being able to go shopping without really going outside is a plus. Rooms were very clean and modernly decorated. It even has a small refrigerator .

The hotel is just two blocks from the Central Railroad Station and the Metro Station is just across the back courtyard. The front desk staff was very helpful. I asked them several questions about transportation and they gave me timetables, maps and good information. The breakfast was great. Lots of typical European choices. The room was spacious and very clean. The traffic noise was pretty loud with the window open, but closed it was very quiet in the room. Helsinki is a very walkable city and everything we wanted to see was within a 20 minute walk from the hotel.

Having stayed in the hotel many times times knew what to expect. Room little tight for two people for 10 days. Breakfast is great and sitting in bar area very relaxing. There seems to be very limitted staffing as getting someone on the phone took many calls and time.
Housekeeping was sloppy but bathroom was clean and towels changed regularly.
Location is the best with easy access to public transportation and center.

Monster four star hotel in Helsinki has it all

Mannerheimintie is a major Helsinki artery with excelent tramway service. I visited in winter and arrived too late for the city tour; two hours of tramway fixed this. Two monster hotels sit side by side in Mannerheimintie: the Crowne Plaza and the Scandic. I stayed in the Crowne Plaza, wich has an imponent view, an entire (free for guests) floor with gym, pool, sauna, health shop, etc. The room had everything in it: a safe, minibar, wireless internet, a robe (for the sauna), toiletries, stationery, pens, etc. Buffet breakfast was impressive and you can order your fried eggs to the cook with no extra charge. I made dozens of inqiries to the staff (in winter, after six in the afternoon, it's all dark and very cold, so you shelter in the hotel). They were very helpful and polite. I usually like better smaller hotels, but wouldn't mind to go back to this one again.

The hotel is located very close to the tram line stop and quickly takes you into the heart of Helsinki (i.e., Center City) literally within a couple of minutes. The hotel rooms are very nice. I was pleasantly surprised. Internet speed is good and was complimentary during my stay. The hotel restaurant has a nice breakfast and very good dinner selection. I ate in a couple of times. The FinAir bus to the airport has a pick-up location right across the street and runs every 20 mins. Saved me a lot of money vs a cab ride. Definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for something very nice, reaonably priced and conveniently located. Front desk staffs' service was not as good as my stay downtown at Hotel Kamp, but everything elase was awesome.

The hotel was central to everything. We could walk to town or the tram. Many restaurants and bars very close. This was a great choice of hotel!

Ett bra hotell i centrala Helsingfors, ett stenkast från järnvägsstationen. Rummen är ok. Restaurangen och baren är riktigt nice och rekommenderas varmt.

Hellsten Helsinki Parliament is located in a beautiful apartment building that dates back to 1912. Hotel has 43 hotel apartments, each with its own telephone line, TV, generous workspace, broadband connection and well-equipped kitchenette. All of the hotel apartments are tastefully decorated in Scandinavian style. The reception is open Mon - Fri, 8 am to 8 pm. Guests can also check in 24 hours a day with the automated check-in system. Hotel amenities are Dry cleaning, Smoke-free hotel, Internet access - High-Speed, Laundry service, Laundry room and sauna - free of cost, Lift / Elevator, Lobby, Non-smoking rooms, Parking facilities - at cost and Reception. The location of Hellsten Helsinki Parliament is excellent for both business and leisure. You can reach both the railway and bus station on foot and the airport is less than 30 minutes away by car. A wide range of services, such as shops, cafes, restaurants and cinemas, are within walking distance. We had a one bedroom apartment

We had a one bedroom apartment here for the same price as many nearby hotels charge for just a room. It was roomy with a kitchenette, nice to be able to make some simple meals ourselves after two weeks on the road with only restaurant meals. There is no service, apart from changing the linen every third day. This was ok with us. The location is only five to ten minutes walk away from Helsinki city centre. Recommended!

Hotel Anna is a welcoming and homely place to stay situated in the very center of Helsinki. All 64 rooms are fully equipped with private bathroom, flat screen TV and free wireless internet connection. Hotel's cozy, tastefully decorated hotel offers only nonsmoking rooms and there are also some rooms for people with allergies. There are parking-places reserved for hotel guests in a private garage nearby. All rooms have been refurbished in the spring 2010.
The Hotel is totally non-smoking.

The location can not be any better. You get great service there and everyone is very friendly and helpful. The only thing is that there is no AC and the first room we stayed at was facing the street. At night, after a whole day of sun exploure, the room got really hot. We couldn't open the window to sleep since the hotel is close to the city center and some bars. The next night we asked for a room with window open to the court yard, it was much better.
In general, the place is great for the price in Helsinki.

立地は良いが中央駅から少し離れているので、トランクを持っているならトラム10かタクシーがおすすめ。小綺麗な学生寮みたいな部屋で、過度な期待さえしなければ値段相応ながら安心して休める。朝食もフィンランドならではのパンやサーモンを出してくれるけど、二泊以上するならマーケットに行っても良い。サウナも設備にあるけど9時から20時くらいまでしか使えないし準備が大変らしいので予め確認するか余所のサウナを使いましょう。

This is a very good standard airport hotel which represents good value for money. It is a very large modern block, with no real distinguishing features. The hotel is a few minutes by shuttle bus from Helsinki's Vantaa international airport.

The hote is close to Helsinki-Vantaa airport which makes it a good option to stay a night before your early morning flight. There is also plenty of parking space available and a free shuttle bus to the airport. Sauna and Business center are nice and help you in your preparation for the trip.

I have stayed at the Park Kapyla Hotel Helsinki about twelve times. The staff are always most welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is excellent, the rooms are always clean and they are well appointed. Evening meals are good although I did not eat one during my last stay. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Everything was perfect. Only one note - it was too stuffy in the room, we had to switch on the fan for the whole night. Very pretty surrounding. Free car parking.

This is a very nicely kept basic hotel that is suitable for all travellers offering good standard accommodation, friendly staff and within easy reach to city centre and airport. Hotel open times are 07:30-22:00 Monday-Sunday, outside of these times guests must call hotel in advance to arrange check-in. This is a former block of flats that has been converted to hotel. It is white concrete building. Hotel is located in Helsinki district called Vallila, just 3km from the city centre. It is in easy reach by trams and buses to city centre and close to Helsinki fair center.
