- Sokos Hotel Presidentti is a completely refurbished and stylish downtown hotel in the very heart of Helsinki; next to the Kamppi centre, close to culture and shopping. The hotel houses 12 meeting rooms accommodating 10-370 persons in varying configurations. Most meeting rooms boast individual air conditioning. The meeting equipment varies according to the needs of the respective meeting; besides the basic equipment a multimedia projector is available. The Presidentti room seating 280, and the Sylvi room seating 80, together constituting Restaurant Presidentti, are available for private occasions from 14:00 onwards. The two rooms can easily be turned into one bright and stylish large room with a view over Helsinki. The capacity is 380 seated guests, or 900 cocktail party guests. Presidentti Club is available for private events for up to 800 guests. Occasions must end no later than 21:00. Central location
The hotel has a fairly central location - just a few hundred meters from the train station, and near to the Kamppi shopping centre. The breakfast is really nice. The room wasn't particularly pretty, but served the purpose for one night.

Ideal location if you want to leave Helsinki by plane as the hotel is about 200m from the train station where the Finnair airport bus leaves from. The room was a good size and very clean. The breakfast was also of a very high standard. Free wifi in the room as well, once you get the password from reception. The hotel is also walking distance from the port if arriving by ferry but probably not if you have heavy luggage or suitcases.

The hotel is a bit tired, which is understandable. The attitude of the front desk staff is in need of a major overhaul - most are not very welcoming at all, and seem grumpy about actually having to interact with customers. The fact that the hotel is fully booked (or close, since, despite claims, there were still rooms available - for a fee) does not excuse not honouring requests made far in advance. The hotel may view these (eg, non-smoking, one bed vs two) as 'wishes', but customers do not.

Staff were very polite. Aircon was not working in room but front desk was very responsive and brought a small desk fan to room. Wide selection at breakfast. Centrally located to go out and explore.

Good hotel, right in the middle
Good hotel, right in the middle of the city. Easy to get to from central station. Great choice for breakfast. Rooms were good (quite big), a little on the older side but everything is very clean. Sauna and pool are great but only open for a few hours in the morning which was a little disappointing. Good value hotel!
