- Sokos Hotel Vaakuna is a Functionalist-style hotel on the best location in Helsinki. The hotel has 6 well-equipped meeting rooms (for max. 60 participants), of which three are meeting rooms with a view, seating 1520. The hotel also has 12 suites that can be used for meetings involving 46 people. All meeting facilities, the sauna department on the 10th floor and the suites feature an ADSL connection free of charge. Private restaurant Kaarre is an excellent venue for private parties for 30200 people and only the sky is the limit. The entire 10th and top floor (restaurants and meeting facilities) is available for private parties. It is possible to arrange an event with 800 guests in the heart of Helsinki, above the roofs of the city.

Always great
I ALWAYS stay at this hotel in Helsinki because of the great location next to the main rial station and the bus station. The staff is always helpful and very friendly and goes out of their way to serve my every need. The breakfast buffet daily on the 10th floor is filling if not as excellent as it once was but it still beat most US hotels. Having an internet station in the lobby and WiFi in the rooms is a most welcome addition. I just love the place.

Excellent Accomodation in Helsinki
First time stay at this hotel. Altogether over the past 5 years my wife and I have stayed at 6 different hotels in Helsinki, and would rate this now as our favorite in the upper price ones. Our room was spotless, a large double, with windows overlooking the main boulevard--really quite spectacular. The breakfast room is on a top floor with lots of windows, so very pleasant. We enjoy walking, and the hotel is very well located for exploring Helsinki by foot or trolley.

Short walk from hotel
Within short walks of the hotel are great cultural and historic landmarks. Helsinki is a very walkable city, and this hotel is located perfectly for such excursions.

Fantastic Hotel
Fantastic hotel with great mid-century modern decor. Terrific breakfast and a terrific location. Would definitely stay there again.

Muy buen hotel al lado de la estacion
Muy buen hotel al lado de la estacion central de Helsinki. El desayuno se sirve en el decimo piso y se puede tomar en la terrasa de la que hay vistas de toda la ciudad. Lo extraño es que el hotel cuenta con una habitación de equipajes, a la que tiene acceso cualquiera. Da miedo dejar tus pertenencias alli.

なにより立地が最高でどこへ行くにも便利。

なにより立地が最高でどこへ行くにも便利。 Sokosデパートとその地下のS-Marketへはホテルから直結で外に出ずに行けます。 スタッフの対応も良く、サウナも無線LANも宿泊客には無料で用意されています。 朝食もおいしく、Sokos系なのでフィンランド名物？のカレリアンピーラッカも用意されています。 日本人だからか、バスタブ付きの部屋で、部屋から見えるヘルシンキの景色も良いです。 不満らしい不満はなかったのですが、あえて挙げると、若干部屋が狭いのと、部屋にセキュリティボックスがないことくらい しょうか。 後者は、ミニバーに鍵がかけられるので、それで代用できなくもなさそうでした。

３度目の宿泊になりますが、サウナと同一階に宿泊したせいか、室内の汗臭さはあるものの、設備は整っている。 インターネットも無料で快適に利用できた。朝食も種類が豊富。
