10 min walk from the big venues, car parking only 8 euros, rooms big and clean...best price for the value!

This hotel was recently built and features a relatively large room for european standards. The room comes with a double bed and a single bed in the corner of the room which is almost the size of a suite. bath/shower/sink located closer to the bed, and separate toilet located in a closet in the far side of the room. Smallish flat screen lcd tv separate bath/shower from toilet. small fridge in room. Hotel is located about a 10 min easy walk downhill to the water and cannes film festival. Problems: plug in direct internet is free with your own laptop. I had problems accessing 80% of websites using their connection. I never experienced this before using my laptop in dozens of countries. Verified that sites were blocked by using a proxy server. This was a major problem for me since I couldn't access sites necessary to do my work. I asked the front desk about this problem, and he said he had never heard of it and asked me to try again in the morning. Still didn't work in the morning. I ended up having to pay for wifi access(only available in the lobby) and it worked without a problem and had access to sites again, although it cost 5 euro an hour. Parking. I parked my vehicle in the garage under the hotel. the hotel posts a discount rate of 8 euro per night. the garage costs 14 euro per night. I told the staff during checkin i parked in the garage and I asked if i needed to validate. The clerk said to pay for parking in the garage when I'm leaving the next morning and to return back to the front desk after I've paid to get a rebate of the difference. Next morning I come back with my parking receipt after I leave the garage and the staff tells me they don't refund parking and I had to come in before payment for them to adjust my ticket prior to paying. Staff was argumentative and said I understood wrong and the night staff would never tell me to pay before and they cannot do anything. They even suggested I should have asked multiple times about the parking payment in the morning instead of listening to the night front desk clerk. This could be a great place if the staff tried to be helpful or apologize for their errors and misinformation.
