The breakfast selection was excellent. From my room, I could hear the lift going up and down - irritating during a couple of bouts of insomnia in the middle of the night. Everything else was very comfortable and pleasant, however.

Posizione ottima e centrale; a 400m dalla stazione dei treni,vicina anche alla fermata del treno che arriva dall aeroporto. La stanza è arredata di tutti i confort compreso microonde cucina ecc..
Lo consiglio l'hotel, ma fate attenzione al fatto che se volete risparmiare vicino alla stazione dei treni ci sono tantissimi hotel a poco prezzo che offrono stanze singole a partire di 30e; logicamente nn le trovate nel sito.

L'hotel est bien placé, à proximité des berges et à deux pas du vieux lyon, avec des facilités pour se garer.Les chambres sont spacieuses mais accusent le temps passé(moquette un peu fatiguée, et la salle de bain bien fatiguée).
Le petit déj est d'un trés bon rapport/qualité/prix.
Le personnel est trés agréable et derviable.

The location is great, just a few steps from the metro, lots of little restaurants around, a great park within 5 minutes and its located in a nice neighborhood. For French standards this was a good hotel, not very big, not very clan but good enough for France in a 3 star.

Nice hotel. Great location lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Extremely helpful and friendly front desk. Only complaint was rooms were too warm and nothing but heavy comforters on the bed and windows don't open.

This is an old "Grand Hotel" right next to the Lyon Perrache train station, which was once the main Lyon train station. Perrache is not, however, the main station anymore. That is now Lyon Part-Dieu, which is some distance away. You can get from one to the other on the subway (about a half hour) or on the tramway (about 40 minutes), or, of course, by cab. So, check your train ticket. If your train is going to Lyon Perrache, the hotel is very convenient. Otherwise, not really. It is also not a convenient walk to any of the main tourist attractions in Lyon, although those can, again, be easily reached by subway or tram.
The hotel itself, however, is very good. The staff are courteous and helpful. The hotel restaurant is quite good (although not gourmet). The room was very large and spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom, and, on the fourth floor, there are balconies to the rooms. The rooms are also very well noise insulated and, if anything, there was too much heat. Bed was very comfortable.

Nous avons été déçus par l'aménagement de ce studio par ailleurs bien placés dans le vieux Lyon :
- nous avons effectué cette demande de réservation 1 mois avant notre séjour : pas de changement des serviettes alors que nous sommes restés du 30/12/10 au 3/1/11
- pas de balais ni d'aspirateurs disponibles pour faire le ménage ; en sachant que ce studio permet de faire la cuisine : l'heure de ménage coûtant 28 euros
!
- l'inventaire du studio n'a pas été vérifié avant notre location : pas de casserole disponible ; la plaque de cuisson était hors service et nous avons dû en demander le remplacement ;

Buona posizione nel 3° arrondissement a cinque minuti a piedi dai mercati di Les Halles e dieci dal centro commerciale Part Dieu. Camera un po' piccola, ma pulita. Accoglienza un po' "fredda" (forse dovuto alla"riservatezza" francese o a difficoltà di comunicare in lingua straniera). Conveniente con l'offerta di cui ho usufruito. Prezzi normali nella media.

Good hotel, but in a rough area close to red-light district. Walking there felt a bit unsafe at night.
Bedding (blanket) was awful. Blanket and sheets slipped off every time you made the slightest movement. COLD.

The Globe and Cecil was quite comfortable, though the room and bathroom were much more modest than expected. The room was meticulously cleaned each day and the staff very friendly and accomodating. The location has to be one of the best in the city, very lively with shopping, restaurants and bars, one block off the place bellecour (the largest square in Europe). very easy walking to almost everything.

The location of this hotel is outstanding; close to the
Saone River and within walking distance to the old city and the city center. Also within a block of many local restaurants (no English on menues but great food and prices). For an old European Hotel this Hotel is in great condition, clean and great service by the staff. They definitely deserve the Best Western designation as they meet all their standards, They also had a computer and printer availabe at no charge which allowed me to print our boarding passes for our flight home.
Highly recommend this Hotel for all except those seeking a big luxury type Hotel.
Would definately stay at this hotel again if we get back to Lyon.

The reception staff were very welcoming and got us checked in early. They spoke very good English which really helped. We had a very enjoyable two nights here but we didn't have breakfast included as we prefer to eat out.

I just needed a basic place to sleep while I saw friends explored the city taking pictures for 3 nights. This hotel is perfectly located by Perrache station, and easily accessible to Part-Dieu station by Tramway T1. The metro is also just steps from the door. Rooms were basic but very clean and the staff was friendly. The bed was very comfortable and there wasn't any street noise, just the occasional feint rumble of a train. The wi-fi was good and fast. Breakfast is offered for E8, but I didn't try it. Overall, a very good value for what I needed.

Pros: Hotel is decently located, not far from the center, and there is a tram station two blocks away. There is also a shopping center nearby, and the central tram/bus/train station (Gare de la Part Dieu) is itself only a short walk away (less than half a mile).
The hotel itself is an apartment hotel, it has a fridge, microwave, stove, iron, etc.
Cons: There is no room service unless you ask for one, the room is small, the elevators are tiny, and WiFi is only in the common are (that has 3 couches).

The desk clerk (Sebastien) was helpful and friendly when we checked in
The elevator is small, but the view from our 5th floor room was great. Nice bathroom, tea and coffee making in room. The totel is located on a beautiful street and we could walk to both rivers, the old town, cathedral, Place Bellecour, museums and Roman remains. Nice welcome drink, good continental breakfast and lunch box each day (which I have to say we did not use, but still nice)!

Très bel hôtel en manque d'entretien
chasse défectueuse wc
bouchon baignoire coincé impossible de vider son bain
volets qui ne descendent pas bien
rare dans cet hôtel d'habitude impeccable

Après ce séjour, je me permets quelques petites réflexions, à savoir :
- il y avait des excréments de chien sur le paillasson le samedi matin et toujours le dimanche.
- l'ensemble des équipements est très vieux notamment l'ascenseur qui est très dangereux puisqu'il se referme sur vous quand vous passez la porte et que vous êtes deux !
- il est très désagréable de déjeuner avec une personne qui scrute chacun de vos faits et gestes, nous devons payer le déjeuner c'est un acquis et non, nous n'allons pas voler un petit pain ou un oeuf.
- pas de service de restauration le week-end et il est nécessaire que prendre au moins un bus pour trouver un restaurant.
Pour le reste le personnel à la réception et dans les corridors est très poli et agréable.
Je m'attendais cependant à un hôtel d'un standing supérieur pour votre chaîne.
