Good family hotel

We stayed here over Christmas and we loved the pool, the soft play area and the grounds. The room was clean but got very hot at night. The complimentary bus got very crowded and on 2 occasions we couldn't get on. We also had a problem with the food too. The breakfast was adequate, we ordered a pizza on the last night it was burnt on the edges and raw in the middle. The fries were also cold.

Great hotel!

After much deliberation I decided to book this hotel instead of one on the disney park mainly to keep costs down. I was neither disappointed or let down by this choice. I would go as far to say that this hotel was far better than an actually disney park hotel, great play areas for the kids and swimming pool with slides went down a treat with my 2, that are 7&13 yrs. breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The rooms were basic but spacious and beds were comfy. Would definitely recommend and go again! :)

A wonderful experience

A really great hotel for children, plenty to entertain and amuse them. My son said it was really made with children in mind and he is 11. Loved the pool and waterslides. The meal deal in the hotel was very reasonable, and the food was of a good standard, although I would not say it would suit all tastes a good effort is made. The breakfast selection was excellent and I could not fault it. The staff were all lovely, friendly, helpful and welcoming. I felt very comfortable in the hotel and really did think that it was very child oriented. Very well done, fun even down to the pirate map on the carpet in our room. Pay per view was a great idea. The hotel was very central to everything and serviced by a free bus service that ran regularly and was a short distance from the Disney Village and the Parks. I also used the Magical Shuttle which actually stops at this hotel for return journeys to Charles de Gaulle airport so that was a real bonus for me no lugging cases about. All in all I would recommend and I would most definitely return to this particular hotel again. Merci beaucoup pour une vacance manifique a tous a la hotel Explorer.

Love this hotel

We stayed at explorers for 1 night prior to moving on to a Disney hotel for the rest of our holiday. We've stayed at other partner hotels but this was definitely the best. Room was very comfortable, we had a double bed and bunk beds, my son liked the light he had in the bottom bunk. The facilities were fantastic, we used the soft play and the pool. Both well maintained and clean. We used the pool around 7pm when others were still in the Disney parks and we had the pool completely to ourselves which was brilliant. The only thing letting the hotel down for us was the breakfast. Not a lot of choice, bread rolls hard and no fresh fruit. Breakfast room had only a few in there when we went in so could have been that they weren't expecting many for breakfast. All in all a great, value for money hotel which we'll definitely use again.

Basic accommodation, fun pool, extra charges.

The rooms were quite basic, but as expected. The breakfast was adequately described earlier, plenty of continental style food available, but breakfast times were like feeding troughs during a busy week. We had american style swim trunks for our first visit to the pool, these are stunningly prohibited by french law so we were all forced to buy over-priced european style mini-trunks before entering the pool. We were then told that the towels supplied in our rooms were not allowed in the pool area but we could rent towels at 2 euro each for the session. The pool was fun but the water could have been a small bit warmer. Upon returning to our room we discovered that any non-news channels in english cost 5 euro per day, and movies in the room were 11 euros each. It truly spoiled the holiday to feel like we were being nickel-and-dimed for every single thing in the hotel. The shuttles to Disney/Marne-La-Vallee were frequent, reliable and oh sooo packed. The heaters in the rooms were on a timed program so to heck with what you wanted as an occupant, although I'm sure for an extra 5 euros a day you could probably have control over that too.

Lovely hotel

My family really enjoyed our 5 nights here 5 minutes away from Disneyland on the free shuttle service provider. Our room was lovely cleaned everyday and provider with clean towels and teabags, coffee for making drinks in the room. Breakfast was continental which was lovely if u wanted a cooked breakfast this was extra (€4 each) but ut wasnt the nicest so I would stick with the continental. All in all a lovely hotel and would recommend to anyone and would stay here again

Great Hotel for Families

We had a great time at this hotel with our two year old. Perfect base for our trip to Disneyland. Shuttle bus service very regular and more frequent during busiest times. Swimming pool was excellent and we all enjoyed the flumes. My partner had to purchase a pair of speedo type swimming shorts at the hotel (€12) as loose shorts are banned. Room was clean but basic which was fine as we spent little time in it.

fantastic family trip

This was our 3rd time to stay at the explorers our 2nd time with our son. The shuttle buses came along every 5-10 mins and the explorers is always the first stop. The bedrooms have all been refurbished since our last stay and they look fantastic. The pool was the real highlight of our stay here and my son who is 5 loved it. The indoor soft play area was a big hit to and is great because parents can sit outside enjoying a drink while their kids play inside. There is also a games room. The rooms were cleaned everyday and clean towels left. There was plenty to eat at the breakfast buffet and we were always seated straight away. Overall a great hotel with plenty to do for the kids. I would stay here again and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

A 3 star experience

The actual hotel is reletively nice, I only wish that would have transfered into the room. The rooms are 3 star for sure very cheap and not very comfortable. The amenities such as various restaurants and entertainment make this hotel good. The hotel is in great proximity to all the disney things and provides a free shuttle and free parking. The staff are excellent and very helpful and knowledgeable. If you stay you'll want to spend more time in the hotel lobby or at disney so it works out.
