Trip to disney

Little things such as paper cups instead of proper ones and no refill of tea or coffee stuff in room each day were annoying. Great play areas for kids. Plenty of food at breakfast and loads of cups, plates , cutlery etc

Most child-friendly hotel ever!

Just returned from a 4 night stay with 4 kids, 12, 10, 7 & 4. The intention was to spend 4 full days in Disney but we ended up coming home early just to use the facilities! The layout is fab - eating area/ bar adjoining children's play areas & pool, so the kids can come and go in a safe environment. Rooms are functional and nicely decorated in pirate themes. They aren't fitted with a fridge but if you ask, it will be provided. Shuttle bus to Disney is very frequent - longest wait was 15 mins. The pool is a must, but they enforce the speedos rule strictly for men & boys, so come prepared. Not the place for couples or older teens, but we are already planning a return trip to this hotel!

Explorers Hotel - Recommended stay

I would recommend this hotel for anyone planning a trip to Disneyland Paris. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean, fairly spacious with comfortable (memory foam) beds. Although very basic in decor, it was pleasant enough especially for the money paid. I found the pool too cold to stay in, but many others seemed to be enjoying it, so perhaps it was just me, and the staff member immediately offered to report my comments to the manager. Breakfast was good, with lots of choice (continental) and an option to upgrade if you wanted cooked breakfast. I did not eat at any other times in the hotel, as it was expensive, but in line with most other eateries price wise in the Disneyland area (all very expensive) However I did notice a take away pizza option within the hotel that looked the best value. The shuttle bus was very frequent and a quick 10-15 min journey to disneyland. All in all we were very pleased with the Explorers hotel, and would consider staying again, if we were to return to the area

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

If you have a car, make use of the Val D'Europe commercial centre about 3 miles away. A big supermarket, and lots of eateries there if you want to avoid the costly Disneyland dining options.

Not all that

Shame about not being able to use the pool, the kids were looking forward to it and it was a really good pool but......you have to wear speedos! We did blag it on one occasion and refused to get out when the attendant started moaning. The hotel, pizzas, bar and shop are very expensive. The safe in the room was so small it wouldn't even fit an ipad. No fridge in room and no mini uht milk for tea/coffee. One plus was that the bus service was excellent, but watch out for the "push in" french!

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Stay in Val d'europe and make use of the reasonable Supermarket in the shopping centre. The hotels are much cheaper and the courtesy bus will only take another couple of minutes.

Excellent for kids!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff are efficient, cheerful and polite. The amenities for kids are excellent and well maintained. My six year old daughter was very happy and she can't wait to come back. She loved the swimming pool, the indoor and outdoor play areas. I highly recommend this hotel for families with kids.

Nice position, but staff and cleaning staff need to pick up game.

Nice position. But other things in hotel, just bad. No Aircon, no in room laundry bags. No fridge. So really a budget hotel, but at not so budget rate
