Located in Old Port on La Canebiere in central Marseille, Escale Oceania Vieux Port offers modern rooms and free Wi-Fi. It was completely renovated in 2009. Guest rooms at the Escale Oceania are fully equipped with flat-screen TV, work desk, and an en suite with Italian shower. They have been designed for maximum comfort and are air-conditioned. Best location in Marseille

The rive neuve is the best for dining, drinking and people watching

great location

great location, plenty of restaurants nearby and close to metro station. room was not big, simple but reasonably clean. mattress was slightly "sinking" in the middle and no slippers provided (I am east Asian). stayed in the hotel in a bitterly cold February and very grateful for the good adjustable heating in the room. Friendly staff. All in all a decent 3 star hotel.

Good location, reasonable room

Stayed at a 2-star in Vieux Port earlier in the trip and it was dismal even though it was recommended in several guide books. This hotel had an equally great location (right next to the subway, very close to the bus terminal, very close to shopping and tourist stuff). Room was clean & neat. The bed was comfortable. Looks like a fairly modern room. Wifi worked well. Staff was helpful providing suggestions.

Quite nice, helpful staff

The hotel is right next to the tourist portion of the harbor. Great location to walk to many sites. The room was very clean and modern. Comfortable beds. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Breakfast was good. I'd definitely stay there again!

hotel refait à neuf design moderne

hotel refait à neuf design moderne très bien situé sur le vieux port au bas de la canebiere près des métro et bus. Personnel très sympathique et serviable. Petit déjeuner à 10 euros froid (possibilité de cuire des oeufs mais pas de chaud façon bacon tomates saucisses..) mais copieux avec flan, tartes, crêpes.... Un peu de bruit soir et matin sur canebiere animée mais raisonnable. A recommander car très bon rapport qualité-prix.
