This discreet hotel is known to some of its clients as "one of Paris' best kept secrets". Situated on the corner of the Place du Palais Bourbon, opposite the French National Assembly, this luxurious residence built in 1791 exhibits all the elegance and aristocratic spirit of one of Paris's most beautiful areas. Featuring a listed lift from 1924, an Aubusson tapestry, and a sculpted gold mirror, each detail contributes to the charm of this unique hotel which combines a classic feel with the pleasure of modern trends. Redesigned by the architect Pierre Seignol, the lobby of the Bourgogne & Montana will capture your imagination with its subtle combination of contemporary furniture and sophisticated decorative elements which celebrate tribal art as well as 18th century tradition. The hotel offers 32 elegant rooms and suites, some of which look out on the French National Assembly, the Grand Palais or the rooftops of Paris. An air of nobility reigns in its new rooms, which are decorated in various bright colors and which create a perfect harmony with the 7th arondissement's trendy mood and reputation. The sophisticated decor, with Empire-style furniture and wall fabrics produced by Lelievre, the exclusive designer of Kenzo's furnishings line, the attention to detail and the warm welcome all combine to form the calm, homely ambiance of the Bourgogne & Montana Hotel. Hotel also provides amenities like Dry cleaning, Library, Lobby, Reception and Smoke-free hotel.

Clean room

This is a very nice boutique hotel. A room is very clean and decorated very well. Unfortunately, a room was much smaller than I expected for a 4 star hotel and a mattress was supper firm to get good rest. 7 nights of back pain was not what I expected.

Great, safe, location!

Bourgogne et Montana is an adorable vintage hotel located in the 7th arr. It is an easy walk to the Metro, many cafes & Eiffle Tower. We explored the city by Metro and this was a perfect location. The hotel staff are very friendly & helpful. The hotel is small & quaint, clean and comfortable.

Great Location and a hotel with style

We were both first timers to Paris, so looking for a hotel with a central location to all the tourist sites, but not on a busy road was vital. It was our honeymoon. The staff, room and the hotel were great. Being it was behind the French parliment you felt safe due to the police and the area was very clean. We shall be definatley returning and always use this hotel. 20 mins from Gard du Nord, Effiel Tower and the Louvee what more can you ask for?

Take the taxi from the Gard du Nord, but forget the river tour and take the bus tour. You see loads more and plenty of more stops. Also do the Effiel from 2100hrs onwards, less crowds and brill views.

A Paris Experience

We had a very great experience at the hotel. When we arrived in Paris, our airline had lost our luggage (2 bags). We got to the hotel and checked in and immediately informed them of our misfortune. They did everything in their power to help us contact the airline, translate, etc. We received one of our bags within one day of arriving and still have not received the other bag (we just got back last night from Paris). All in all we had a great experience. The hotel was nice, the staff was amazing, and the location is perfect--very centrally located and within walking distance to all the main tourist sites. I would definitely stay here again.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

When you ask the hotel to call a cab for you; from the moment they call the cab to the moment it gets to the hotel to pick you up, the meter is running. The first time we called for one to take us to dinner, the meter was already at 10 Euro when we got in. Luckily, we didn't have too far to go, but just something to be aware of. No other city I have been to has this type of policy.

Great Location

Charming Hotel but only some of the floors have been renovated and the older rooms others are OK but not as nice-request floors 4 or 5. Hotel staff speaks English but somewhat limited on their understanding of needs. Breakfast is nice and reasonable but the breakfast room could be more charming and not as basic. Limited staff if you need help, sitting room newly renovated and nicely done. I would return, like the area near shopping and brassieres and value is good.

great stay

We stayed 4 nights in May and it was great. Yes the lift was tiny, but it was made in 1924! Charming! The hotel was opened in the 1900's, but updated beautifully. The bathroom was very clean and very modern. The shower was HUGE! The bed was very comfortable and the linens was at least 500 ct.! Very NICE! Closet space was very limited and no extra outlets in the bathroom.(But several outlets in the bedroom.) All in all great location...close to metro stop that connects to many lines to get anywhere in Paris. I would differently stay here again!

Valentine's Day stay

Excellent stay, easily within walking distance to Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, and most main attractions. The only negative I could imagine, is that taxi drivers aren't familiar with the road and location (although mentioning the Asemblee Nationale is useful). Rooms were smaller than expected, but spent very minimal time there anyways, and were comfortable nonetheless. We still had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel.

Loved every minute

We planned our trip around the Marathon de Paris on April 10th so had a week to spend in Paris. It was very important for us to stay in a central location and this hotel was perfect. We walked everywhere from the hotel including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame and only took the metro to get to Montmartre. My favorite museum is the Musee d'Orsay which was only 2 blocks away on the Seine. The famous Rue de St. Germaine was also a few blocks for us and led us into the Latin Quarter and the famous cafes of legendary writers. A 20 minute walk another day led us to the Champs Elysee and the Arc de Triomphe. Every day was enchanting. The inside of the hotel is actually nicer than the photos online. Yes, of course the rooms are on the small side as it is Paris, and the lift can only hold one or 2 (thin) people at a time but it was built 100 years ago and is charming and functional at the same time. The room was upholstered in a handsome tweed fabric and had a lovely little balcony to peer out of. Our bathroom was neat as a pin and ample. We used our complimentary bathrobess and slippers and made coffee in the room. We opted to purchase croissants daily from the boulangerie across the street instead of the breakfast in the hotel. The staff was always extremely courteous and helpful regardless of the time of day or inquiry. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet hotel in a excellent location where you will feel comfortable for an extended stay. We both hope to make this an annual trip!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant right around the corner from the hotel on the square. We were too late for the prix fixe meal which ended at six, but still had 2 entrees, 2 glasses of wine and a dessert for under 50 euros. The food was excellent and the well heeled crowd seemed to be regulars.
