A very special find

Welcomed by experienced, friendly, multi-lingual staff who could not have been. Over or more helpful. Great concept, apart-hotel. Unit self sufficient, small supremely functionall. had everything you could want. we forgot our adapter and the front desk lent us one. we forgot out umbrellas and the hotel had them readily available. 2 lounges, free hot beverages and whole fruits available. On the minus side, the area is up and coming. Not a tourist area so a bit off the beaten track. Yet still within walking distance of Norte Dame, etc. we had a room by the elevator and it was noisy, needed a bit of oil. Overall, would recommend and return ourselves. Go and enjoy!

Location! Location! Location!

Amazing location. Right in center of town, a short walk from major locations of interest. Metro stop directly outside the door. Lots of cafes/restaurants around. Lots of food shops to buy food to eat in the room. One minor drawback is the room/suite is a bit tight, and oddly arranged. Staff is very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home.

Great location.

This hotel's location is very near the Chatelet metro and train stops so getting from the airport and around Paris is very easy. It is within comfortable walking distance to so many of the right bank tourist sites. Restaurants are abundant within easy walking distance. The only down side is the outside rooms have to deal with noise from the Place des Innocents and the inside rooms are dark overlooking the courtyard--we experienced both. The street noise is loud youths in the late evening, not traffic. The units are very nice with well equipped kitchens. The staff couldn't be more helpful or welcoming.

Perfect Place in Paris for a family

Perfect location to walk to the Louvre and to Notre Dam. It was also great for restaurants, etc. For Paris the apt was roomy. Very satisfied 5 day experience.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Our 1 bedroom apartment was perfect for having a napping room next to the kitchen and separate living room area. A market is only a few blocks away to get provisions to cook make breakfast for saving some money. The coffee machine is great with expresso and caffe late, hot chocolate, etc. Otherwise the hotel offers a 14 Euro breakfast.

Fun Time

The hotel is located perfectly to walk to The Louvre, Notre Dame, tour companies, endless shopping and cafes and more in minutes. Also the subway is located right outside. Our room was a one bedroom apartment suite. Being Paris, it was smaller like NYC boutique hotels, but it worked well for us and our 9 and 6 year olds loved it. It came w/a fully stocked kitchen w/fridge, range, microwave, dishes and other appliances. Only drawback was that, one could hear some of the late night revelers on the Fri and Sat nights through the closed windows. But, that was a minor inconvenience.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Lots of cafes nearby, but expensive given the weaker dollar these days. So take full advantage of your kitchen and make breakfast (atleast). Kitchen was a lifesaver w/kids. Grocery store is also down the street.

Excellent Choice Near the Louvre

We stayed at the Citadines Prestige des Halles for 3 nights on a recent trip to Paris. It is right next to the Novotel. You get a decent sized room with a small kitchen (which we didn't use), very modern and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast (which we paid extra for) was excellent. It is quite close to the Louvre and Seine (within walking distance) so was a good choice for us. Nearby are lots of restaurants and the Forum Halles shopping area. There is construction going on nearby but it wasn't a problem.

Excellent Hotel

We chose this hotel for its central location in Paris and for the fact that they had one bedroom apartments. It fully lived up to our expectations. Easily reached by RER trains from the airport, walking distance to many of Paris premier sights, on the edge of a busy area with many stores and restaurants. The hotel itself was clean and modern, well equipped new kitchen, and the overall size of the rooms were excellent. However, the modern room design also comes with a somewhat Spartan look a feel. For our family of four this worked perfectly well.

Excellent hotel. Only a few minor details...

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Right by a major train stop (Chatlet-Les Halles), it is super easy to get anywhere. The shops and restaurants close to the hotel are good as well. There is some construction in the area, but it never bothered us for the week we were there. The staff was good, and was always accommodating to the fact that my ability to speak French was very dated. The room was somewhat average, but clean and had everything we needed. It was smaller than what we were used to in the US, but was fine for two. Two helpful hints: 1. They do have a laundry room there (called "launderette"), but it will cost you 9 Euros to wash and dry each load (pretty expensive, but it will let you pack lighter!) 2. Even if your itenerary says "Includes taxes and fees" like our itenerary does, we were charged 3 Euros per day for "Local Tax with VAT" upon checking out. While it seems like a small amount per day it does add up, and it was a little disheartening that this wasn't disclosed anywhere up front. Overall, when I return to Paris, I would gladly stay here again.

Convenient, clean and modern

We stayed at the Les Halles Citadines on our first trip to Paris and could not have been happier. The room looked out over a historical courtyard and fountain (Fontaine des Innocents). The windows opened to let in a cool breeze, our bed was comfortable, white and very clean with downy pillows, there was an iHome clock radio with iPhone charger, the small kitchen had everything we needed, and the bathroom was immaculate and modern. There were also white slippers and robes -- a lovely touch. We were within easy walking distance of cafes, small grocery, money exchange and many attractions (Louvre, Notre Dame, Ile de Cite, shopping, etc.). For any other places we could walk a block and get on the metro or ReR. The breakfasts were well worth it, with croissants, eggs, baguettes, cereals, fruits, rolls, jams and jellys, smoked ham and cheese, and wonderful coffee maker. The breakfast supervisor was efficient if a bit brusque. If you didn't say 'bonjour' she reminded you that in France you are supposed to say the 'magic word'. But that was OK; she was making sure everyone was taken care of. The front desk staff spoke English and helped us with everything we needed. Check out was easy and fast. We will certainly stay there again, if we are lucky enough to take another international trip.
