Location, location, location!

Everything about our trip to Paris was perfect. Citadines is literally in the heart of Paris, within walking distance to EVERYTHING (Orsay, Louvre, Orangerie, Notre Dame, Seine right out the door, various neighborhoods to explore, and even the Eiffel Tower (a beautiful 40 minute walk along the river)). There was a plethora of restaurants to choose from all within steps from Citadines and metro stops every block. We stayed in a studio room and it was so spacious, comfortable, and clean. The staff was very friendly , welcoming, and helpful. After a long day exploring the city, we looked forward to going back to our comfortable studio. We also loved the water dispenser and coffee machine in the lobby.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

We got the 6 day museum pass at the airport when we landed and it more than paid for itself by day 3. It covers museums AND many of the major monuments AND allows you to skip the lines. You can also use it as many times as you want to go back into an attraction more than once. Other tips: Buy Rick Steves POCKET Paris guide. Incredible reference and very helpful for planning your days and also includes info on the history of Paris, art, etc. We took it with us everywhere. Be prepared for major crowds at Versailles. If you really want to experience the city, WALK. Taking the metro is good for the end of your trip when you're exhausted, but don't ride underground to get to your destination when you can be walking and taking in the sights and splendor of Paris!

Great Week!

The staff were wonderful...helpful, courteous, and professional. Room was alright for the price. Certainly could use some cleaning of the rug, but that is no big deal! Location is the best thing about the hotel. Right in the middle of everything!!!! Would stay there again and use the kitchenette more next time...would save bundles of money on eating.

Geat Location, Room for Improvement

On the downside, guests should be told in advance that an apartment with two levels with a circular staircase does not have the toilette on the sleeping level. And the 11 Euro breakfast cost lacked value, On the upside which outweighed the downside by far, the location made walking to Louvre, Orsay, Invalides, the Eifel Tower, the Pompadou Centre all very doable. Good restaurants at reasonable prices are nearby.

Amazing location

The location could not be better, within 5 to 30 minutes walking distance from every place you will want to visit, and 3 minutes walk from St Michel station that is an easy train ride from CDG airport. The internet in the room is incredibly slow, but is better in the reception area. Room service is a little strange - they make the bed, but do not refill coffee/tea/ etc, even when asked for it. Having a kitchenette is nice, even if you don't plan any cooking.

Really can't get much better than this

The location - on the Seine 30 seconds from Pont Neuf - couldn't be better. 10 minute Walking distance to Notre Dame, the Louvre, the D'Orsay museum. 30 minute walking distance to much, much more. At least 3 Metro stops within 10 minutes' walk. Cafes, restaurants, markets, it's all within a few blocks. The staff: always extremely helpful and knowledgable, from suggestions to local restaurants, shopping, you name it, they knew it. Always friendly, no matter what. We had a weird issue with the room safe, and it was fixed first thing in the morning. The room: very comfortable. It was actually a studio apartment with a small kitchen, so we were able to go to the market for breakfast stuff. Fully stocked with appliances, pots and pans - you could easily cook full meals. The only teensy weird thing - you have to have a room key to open the front door, at all times. So when you first arrive and don't have a room key, it's not at all obvious that you're supposed to buzz in and announce yourselves. We stayed at this hotel for 14 nights and loved every minute.

Three fabulous restaurants within 3 blocks - Chez Fernand, Le Christine, and a 3rd on the same street as Le Christine (on Rue Christine). All are a little pricey. The best food in Paris is a bit pricey.

Great location

This is a great way to do Paris, especially if you have kids who maybe fussy about what they eat etc. We had room 2504 which was an upgrade Club 1 bedroom apartment with river view. The river view is worth the extra cash on it's own. Book these early though as there are not that many with a view over the Seine. It is not noisy as the windows have very good noise insulation. There is a bedroom which can be divided into two twin beds and a small kitchen with hob ( no oven) microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer etc and all utensils and a sitting room with a sofabed. Not the most comfy in the world, but it is fine. There are supermarkets nearby where you can get everything you need. Given that you can pay 8 euros for a coke and 10 for a beer in a cafe - not such a bad option! We did a mix and match of eating in and out - made it cheaper and more relaxed. The decor is a bit dated ( swirly brown carpets) and it is smaller than the photos make it look, but it was more than fine for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The staff at the apart-hotel are great and speak English very well. They are very helpful. The breakfast is usually extra ( approx 12 euro pp) and is not worth it to be frank. It is just a continental buffet and not wonderful and not worth the money. Ours was free as part of the upgrade, but I would not pay extra for it having experienced it. The key is the location though - in the left bank, with the book sellers opposite - you come out and can stroll in either direction up to Notre Dame ( 10 mins ) or the Louvre ( 10 mins) and you within 5 mins of a Bateau Bus stop ( water bus).....we loved every minute and would recommend!

If you haven't got reservations for things like the Eiffel Tower do it online before you set off as if you just turn up to get a ticket you will wait hours and hours! The hotel has fast internet, so make your ticket booking there - it will save you hours of waiting....hind sight is a wonderful thing we thought as we waited and waited.....

A Great Hotel and Excellent Location

This is a very nice hotel in an excellent location. The rooms are huge by Parisian standards and ours had a full kitchen complete with dishwasher. Right on the river across from Ile del la Cite and close to the cafes and nightlife of the Latin Quarter. This will be the first place I look for all future trips to Paris.

excellent Family Vacation

This hotel apartment was in an excellent location for our family vacation in Paris. It is located in eye sight (i.e. walking distance) of the Louvre and Notre Dame. The metro was about 2 walking blocks away and from there, the whole city was accessible. Only reason I did not give 5 stars on amenities was that the WiFi was spotty in our room. Front desk said there was nothing that could be done, but logic tells me that if the hotel could invest a little in the WiFi broadcasters to increase the coverage.

Perfect Location for the Left Bank/St. Michele District

This hotel is right on the Seine across from Ile de la Cite and right in the middle of the cafes of the Left Bank. The room was huge by Parisian standards and well equipped with a full kitchen including dishwasher. The automated espresso machine in the lobby added a welcoming touch. I plan to look to this hotel first next time I visit Paris.
