I dont even know what to say!!
I'll start with the good!! Nice hotel, nice rooms, great staff, and great location. Can't complain. The restaurant and bar was not bad at all. Didn't order room service so I cant comment. When we got to the hotel everything was ready to go and we didn't have to wait for our room. All-in-all this had to be the HOTTEST HOTEL EVER!! I can not believe that they actually wont install air-conditioning for the rooms. Even when I asked the front desk about it he all he could tell me was, " they didnt anticipate such a hot winter". (no excuse). Hotels should have both heat and air, maybe thats just me. I was charged TWICE for someone else's room service and upon arriving i was told that I had a 30 EURO credit per night and i still got charged for both nights we ate at the hotel (couldnt believe it). not only that but we "thought" that the breakfast was free apparently not, I drank the most expensive glass of juice ever. Overall I wouldn't waste time staying here ... advice stay at the Pullan across the street.

If you decide to stay here (at your own risk), it's a good idea to learn the train system, it was a really fun experience.

Very helpful staff, checking in in a very busy time was quick and efficient. Breakfast (continental) was very good. Location excellent, a short walk to Metro and station, and good shopping and restaurants all around. Would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel in Paris, France
Very nice place in a very good location: it's not too far from a lot of restaurants, cafes, bars and even a small Jazz club - all in a walking distance. There is also a supermarket nearby if you want to buy water of some great cheese...:) It's about 400m from a small Metro station (Gaîté: #13) and 500m from a big metro station (Montparnasse Bienvenüe: #4 #6 #12 #13). It was very enjoyable place and you could see the Eiffel Tower from some of the rooms.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
You can save time getting to the Gaîté metro station if you go through a small mall (Galerie Commerciale Gaîté Montparnasse) next to the Le Meridien. You can save even more time if you go 3 more minutes and go directly to Montparnasse Bienvenüe...

Good place to stay in Paris
We stayed for one night. It cost just over £100 for room only. The room was quite small - had to squeeze through between bed and desk. The bathroom was small as well. The staff were friendly and spoke some English. We didn't eat at the hotel but breakfast was 23 Euros. We ate at a lovely seafood and wine restaurant nearby. This was on the same road as the nearest metro. The rooms were a little dated.

Hotel
The breakfast in the hotel is a complete rip off. €12 for horrible tea, juice, fruit salad and a 'selection of breads' for two people that would barely feed a child. Location is only okay. although when you turn right from the hotel you see the eiffel tower in the distance which may not look like far but it is a good 15 - 20 minutes walk. If I was to stay in Paris again I would stay somewhere between the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysee if possible. Apart from that the hotel was perfectly clean, my room was quiet, and the staff were very good.

Hope this is helpful to others
What they say: hotel is 500 m from metro station. Be aware - hotel is actually on the back side of the train station, so (unless we missed something) you walk entire length of train station to exit, then circle completely around the station to the back side to find the hotel. We arrived after 9:00 p.m. Train station was dark & mostly all shut down, elevators out of operation, information unavailable and our phone service not functional in the area. We finally went to another hotel in the area to get directions to our hotel. Street signs are small and on buildings rather than on poles and hard to see in the dark! :) The climate control in our room was not working, so air was stagnant for our 5-day stay. I informed the front desk and was told their A/C was out that day and would be repaired the next, but the A/C was working fine elsewhere in the hotel. The hotel charges per minute for use of prepaid phone cards. Business center charges in 15 min. increments and is a bit pricey (we opted not to use it). Attempted to charge us for multiple mini-bar charges when nothing had been used. They dropped the charges when we stated we had not used anything at check out. Overall, the rooms were clean, the desk staff spoke multiple languages, the place was clean, the bathroom sizeable compared to our other stops in Europe. Nothing truly outstanding, but nothing really bothersome other than the HVAC issues. Two small groceries and many restaurants in the area.
