Hotel Royal Saint Germain

HOTEL WAS CLEAN AND VERY WELL LOCATED. STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL. WE FOUND ALL OF FRANCE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. WE LOVED OUR TRIP AND WOULD DO IT AGAIN.

Staff could not have been better. Nice neighborhood, good free breakfast, room a little small but nice bath.

Staff made this twice the experience.. great location to Latin District and other cool neighborhoods to walk and play. The best of our Paris hotels.. by far.

Montparnasse an interesting area -- very few tourists, a plus. Plenty of interesting good restaurants nearby. Room small, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

This hotel is in an excellent location for discovering Paris, metro and airport shuttle bus station very close by and plenty in walking distance. The hotel is having very quite and clear. The breakfast was excellent, especially for a continental, lots of choice. duing my trip hotel was full the breakfast room quite small. The best thing about this hotel was the staff, very hellfull and can speak english well.free internet acsees, air cond. room safe and very clean bath room. next time we will be stay again. The hotel is being renovated. The hotel staff seemed irritated by the low price we got online kand put us on a floor that had no carpet or wallpaper/paint in the hallways. The room was OK but there was no coffee pot/hot water pot. The shower was nice but the room was a step below the others we got in Paris, Rome, and London. The location is quite nice though. Be careful that breakfast is NOT included despite the fact that the description of the hotel says that it has a daily buffet breakfast. You have to pay extra for the room to have breakfast included.

When we got there, we were tired from the flight, but Matthew at the front desk was helpful and got our room ready fast. We asked for a double in the front with a view and he showed us two possibilities. The room was small and simple, but nicely furnished. It was very light. The bath was clean and recently remodeled. The street construction (mentioned in earlier reviews) was completed the day we arrived (they were moving the barricades), so the room was quiet. My only negative comment was the hotel was on a busy street so it had little of the ambiance of a small intimate hotel tucked away on a side street. But that made it easy to find.

St. Germain is in a great spot if you like to shop or hit the metro to get around the city. Rue de Rennes has lots of shops and places to eat nearby. I was a bit disappointed in the hotel...we had electrical problems in our room (an electrician was parked out in the hall for a couple of days but it did not fix the broken outlet in our bathroom. Also, the front desk did not have adapters for our US grounded plugs so we couldn't recharge our Mac's. The breakfast is only fair and only worth the 12.5 Euros if you're not up for heading up the street for something better and cheaper. All in all, we had a great visit, the folks at the hotel were nice, but we were left feeling they could ramp it up (clean it better, fix it up). Hope this helps.

Pleasant surprise to have a continental breakfast included with the room. Good european breakfast. Nice sitting area where breakfast was served. Rooms are SMALL - even Superior rooms. In fact not all rooms are the same size, even though advertised as Superior. Even though it's a non smoking hotel, people stand at the doorway and smoke and then it's sucked into the venting system and enters the room. Had to air out our room by opening the window.

The room was spacious, and the bathroom was clean, as well as having a hairdryer.Note thta my description is based on European standards of size and not US. The beds were comfortable, but for larger beds they push together two smaller matresses. The front desk helped us every day we neeeded them to, they spoke English very well and were courteous. The included breakfasts were of good quality. No hot food was served, but the quality made up for it. It was a really safe neiborhood as well.
