Les Jardins Du Marais

What a gem! Could not find fault. The staff were superb, as was the decor and situation. Would definitely go there again.

The hotel is in a great general location in the 11th (just across the street from the 3rd), near two metro stops. The street it's actually on is not very nice, but once you're inside, it doesn't matter. The staff were friendly, and the public spaces are all fairly chic. The courtyard in the middle of the buildings is nice, but the music playing at all hours is a little annoying. As for the room, it's a European hotel room - you always get better accommodations at a two-star American chain hotel than you do at a European four-star hotel. That said, the beds were fine, as was the bathroom. The complimentary soap/shower gel is poor quality, and the internet and TV are both ridiculously slow. Otherwise, I felt like we got good value for money, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others.

Winter discount rate made this a bargain. Room was bigger than typical in Paris, and well appointed. Buildings are away from street noise, many facing an open courtyard which might be noisy on summer evenings. Free WiFi is horribly slow like a dialup connection -- adequate speed costs EUR10 per day extra.

we were very nicely welcomed and enjoyed staying at this hotel. We certainly will love to be back there.

Though the room was small, closets small not well lit, since little time was spent there it did not matter. Perfectly located to Metros, different neighborhoods and marvelous little bars and restaurant. Staff is multilingual and helpful. Did not visit bar or breakfast place.

The multi-building property sorrounded the central court. Charming and quiet inside the hotel was quite attentive to decoration with chic touches. The room, however, was a bit small tfor two men. Except for the hipster/punk bar across the street the neighborhood restaurants and cafés were great. There was also a Carrefour 1/2 black away! .The hotel staff was superbe warm, trilingual, extremely courteous. We would definitely return.

not in the heart of Paris but close to a good metro stop - trendy neighborhood with lots of bars and cafes - room was nice with modern bath - looked out toward courtyard garden but all we could see were ac units and rooftops (4 floors above ground)- room smelled from cigar/cigarette and front desk tried to help but it was not successful altough the front desk people were very nice

I reserved a room at Les Jardins du Marais after searching for weeks for a nice hotel with a fitness center in the Marais district. From the web site and comments, it seemed like a decent place to stay with professional staff. I checked into the hotel on the scheduled date of arrival, at 8:30 in the morning and left my bags while I went out for the day. When I returned to the hotel that night, I was told that the room I had reserved and paid for in full, was no longer available. This was after I had already checked into the hotel. There is no excuse for this. When customers reserve and pay for their rooms that hotel is obligated to honor that booking. I don't care if other guests want to extend their stay--if they have no free rooms, they shouldn't arbitrarily cancel other guests ' bookings in order to give priority to guests who have not reserved rooms already. Clearly reservations, even those paid in advance, are not honored or guaranteed at this hotel.

On the 18/05/2011, our hotel room was robbed, the adress of the hotel is 74, rue Amelot-75011 Paris, hotel "LES JARDIN DU MARAIS", 4 STARS! When we returned from the town and checked the safe - it was open, the money was gone. Totally 1000 $ and 400 Euros. We called the receptionist and filled out the declaration, but stuff of the hotel refused to call the police and told that the manager,who is responsible for those issues will be in the hotel just on the nex day at 9 a.m. We also asked the stuff to check who entered our room during the day and at what time – but they also refused. We went to the police station and declared statement of claim. The next day we finally found main manager, but he told us that the hotel is not responsible for it, that they can do nothing and that we cannot even prove that we had the money!!!!!! NEVER STAY AT THE HOTEL ""LES JARDIN DU MARAIS"" 74, rue Amelot-75011 Paris
