Better than expected!!
This hotel was really much better than we expected. The location was right across the street from the Metro. there is a small bakery, and a cafe next door. A grocery is across the street. A major rail station is a couple blocks away. The room was very clean. The a/c didn't seem to do much but with the windows closed and the fan on it was quiet. We opened the windows to cool it out in the evenings, but the street noise would have been too much to leave them open at night. The hotel had the normal European amenities that take some getting used to, but were fine. We thought the optional 17 Euro breakfast was a little high, but the food was good, we did not eat it but once. We had no hot water one night, and were the only room to have an issue. The person at the desk made some valving changes, and we got rusty water with reduced pressure for a while, but all was well the next day. I count this as a freak happening not as the norm. Overall, we think this hotel was a very good value.

In Paris, purchase both the museum pass, and the Metro/railroad pass, together they saved us time,, and money.

Small But Clean
The neighborhood is dreary but it was nice that a grocery store, bakery, and an assortment of eateries are in the same block. Hotel staff was very accommodating. Metro stop is across the street.

Money-saving tip:
In Hotel
Save lots of money by picking up croissants at the bakery, orange juice at the grocery store, and make coffee in the room (the hotel provides free coffee and tea and a hot water pot). No need to eat breakfast in the restaurant.

Tiny But Clean
We found that despite the dreary neighborhood and tiny hotel room (no room for chairs), there were positives to staying there. We enjoyed the metro exit directly across the street, and it was nice that a bakery, a grocery store, and several restaurants were in the same block. The staff was very accommodating.

Instead of signing up for the breakfast at the hotel, ($10 per person if daily, $17 per person if not daily, or $7 for juice, croissant and coffee) use the inroom fridge for oj bought at the market, pay 30 cents apiece for croissants at the bakery and make coffe in the room (the pot and coffee are provided).

Least Expensive, But My Favorite
This was, by far, the least expensive of my hotel rooms in Paris, but my favorite. Staff was great, the room very clean with a modern look. The only down-side is that the hotel is located in a business district, so there isn't a lot nearby. However, the Metro stop is directly across the street. The area is very quiet at night, but the rest of Paris is just a short Metro ride away. I'll definitely be back.

Short walk from hotel
Two blocks south, and turn left 1/2 a block. There is a great little Italian restaurant.

Was there for one quick layover night in July. The AC worked great and the room was very well appointed and comfortable. The location wasn't in a beautiful area but the Metro was right next dor and it was a short ride to the heart of the Latin Quarter. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful.
