Short walk from hotel
One unexpected benefit was that it was within walking distance of a RER station which is the train from Charles De Gaulle Airport. It's only 10 euro vs. a 60 euro taxi ride. No transfers.

Paris
Our hotel experience was fantastic and I would recommend this hotel to others. The staff was courteous and spoke fluent English. The location was accessible to the metro and train by walking. I thought the standard room was somewhat small based on U.S. standards. The room was large enough for 3 people comfortably, but it would have been tight with 2 adults and 2 kids.

We found the Paris Pass that included a metro/train pass, museum pass, river cruise pass, etc., made the trip very cost effective. If not planning to visit many sights, I would still recommend purchasing the metro/train pass for the number of days of the visit to make getting around Paris cost effective.

Hated it.
lights on the side of the building changed all night like a Las Vegas showroom. The blinds did not cover the window to keep the lights out. Location sucked was too far from all the action.

a bit far from the action
you will need to take a cab or subway to the hotspots in paris, but to its credit, this hotel is in a quiet area and reasonably priced for a hotel in Paris. the staff were very helpful. in addition, the breakfast buffet was one of the best meals we had in Paris. overall, i would recommend this hotel.

Some staff are friendly and some are.not. Not the best and classy location for vacation travelers but fortunately the metro station was nearby. Lobby is cold and not very classy.

Great trip with friendly Pariseans
This location was fine - close to metro and walkable if you choose. Definitely recommend the breakfast. Room was fine, but in general, Europeans don't understand shower design. But we weren't there to bathe. We were on the go the entire time with everything to see and were not focused on dining. So it was nice that the restaurant in the hotel was decent. Very friendly waitstaff as well. Having visited Paris years ago, was a bit concerned about the overall friendliness of the French, but was pleasantly surprised - much different experience than before. People were helpful and friendly. Made the trip much nicer. Did many touristy things including the Eiffel Tower, the Lourve, Versailles Palace, Musee d'Orsai, river tour, the Catacombs, Avenue du Champs Élysées and more. Get tickets for the Lourve from the Consierges - that alone saved hours of waiting in line. Overall, a very good experience.

helpful staff clean room
staff helpful in helping us navigate the city. hop-on-hop-off bus a great convenience to get to major sites without paying big taxi cost. they stop running at 1830 so keep that in mind. as we were traveling from place to place we accumulated something no one talks about- laundry. no one we asked knew of a nearby or otherwise place to do a load.

some of the smaller airlines require you to fit you purse inside your carry-on. if you have already filled your carry-on to capacity, you may want to watch how much space your purchases will be taking up in your bags.

Smelly Bathrooms
Too Expensive and Smelly
The hotel is well situated in Paris and 30 mins walk to Notre Dame for example but the room was really not great. This is an older hotel that was renovated. The bathroom was pokey and there was a sewer odor. Also the sink got blocked. I was on the 12th floor and the building was shaking. It was kind of scary, although the view was nice. It was very overpriced for what it was, and I think you could go to Fodors and for $80 find a hotel with an experience at least as good with functional plumbing, also inthe Latin Quarter. Give this one the miss, it was fully of noisy crass people. Also the security/doormen looked like Rocky and you weren;t sure if you were going to be tackled as you walked by and got an intimidating stare.

Short walk from hotel
Diner/pizza place just about 1/2 block away. Just don't do it.(Not the woodfired pizza place, that may be ok).
