Timhotel Opera Blanche Fontaine

We spent Friday night at the Trianon Palace Waldorf-Astoria, and this hotel was better by far. The room was clean and had more space than most European hotels. The shower was almost American! The best thing was the very helpful and friendly staff, who were fluent in apparently several languages, and helped us with everything from directions and taxis to luggage storage to opening wine. I would definitely recommend this hotel - it isn't fancy or brand new, but it was a great place for my brother and me to use as base for our Montmartre adventure.

When I first saw this hotel in person, I was not impressed. But it grew on me. It is located in the red light distric near Moulin Rouge. The rooms are older, but clean and the staff is good. The hotel is located near metro stops, and there are several nice restaurants nearby. As you walk the neighborhood, you realize that is quite interesting, almost bohemian. You can walk to Montmartre and see a spectacular view of Paris! Don't expect the Ritz, but it's safe and clean.

the reception was fine as they talk in english. the room we had was in a villa which is outside the main hotel. it was ok, comfortable for the price but the shower is very small.

We just needed a 3 star hotel that was close to the main sites that Paris had to offer. The hotel was clean, the double twin room was spacious and the front desk spoke english very well and were extremely helpful. The elevator was incredibly small, and I doubt 4 people could fit in there. Otherwise a good experience.

Our first shock was that the elevator was too small to hold us and our luggage and our second shock was that drawers were mostly non existent but once we got over that we were fine! The room was clean but could have used some sprucing up with paint, etc. But I did feel as though I were truly experiencing Paris so didn't mind it that much. However it would have been nice to have had more than the two really small drawers so we had to keep most things in our luggage. The staff spoke excellent English. We never ate there so can't rate that. Be prepared for a bill at the end which was a tax thing and the use of the phone for two local calls was added, too. As to the location...I was a bit worried but it was fine...close to the metro (Blanche) We could only find one of the restaurants recommended by others but we had breakfast at Starbucks (a very short walk) We tried another restaurant close by and can't recommend it at all--a brasserie that is across from Starbucks. We did walk up to the Irish Pub on Sat. and were thrilled to see Ohio State playing football (no one else was watching but that was a bit of a treat for us former Buckeyes)

Leider wurde uns erst beim Einchecken mitgeteilt dass das Frühstück nicht dabei ist. Wobei ich dazusagen möchte, dass man in dieser Gegend ausgezeichnet Frühstücken kann. Also die Lage vom Hotel ist echt toll. Es ist nicht das Traumhotel aber es ist doch so- Wieviel Zeit verbringt man schon im Hotelzimmer?

Hôtel très bien situé, au calme, tout près du Moulin Rouge et de la station de métro Blanche. Chambre au 5e étage confortable. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié pour moins de 10 euros par personne (prendre le programme de fidélité Mas, qui est gratuit). Deux bémols : climatisation en panne et salle de bain à rénover. Dans l'ensemble, séjour très satisfaisant pour un prix abordable, grâce au pack vol + hôtel proposé par E-Bookers.

Une très belle situation au coeur de l'animation de pigalle. Idéalement situé en retrait de la rue hors d'atteinte du bruit pour un séjour agréable dans ce sympathique hotel qui offre des chambres bien équipées et vastes. A noter la salle du petit déjeuner qui donne sur la cour intérieur et non pas dans un entresol aveugle comme souvent, trop souvent à Paris. Je reviendrai avec plaisir.
