The 35-room property tends to the basics, from exposed brick rooms to Wi-Fi access. Travelers also target the hotel for its proximity to the Metro, which serves both airports, Eurodisney and Parc Asterix.

Highlights

  • Close to the Chatelet les Halles Metro station
  • Air-conditioned rooms with Wi-Fi access

Great location, helpful staff!

Stayed here for 5 nights, it is walking distance from most points of interest in Paris as well as the train station. Nice restaurants and bakeries around the corner, so do not recommend breakfast at the hotel.

It's a ok hotel the Staff is very nice. Room small but the bed was good. a pitty that when your room is on the second or third floor the internet has no range in the rooms. I think the rest is value for you money (the elevatoris a bit small)

Bed sheets

One of the best locations in Paris, about 2 blocks from Louvre, surrounded by several great restaurants. We travel to Paris almost every year, for the past 10 years, this room was the biggest by far. We stayed there for 9 nights, and the sheets were not changed once, I think that management should instil on their cleaning staff to make sure the sheets are changed at least every 3 days, without the hotel guests having to tell them. All in all we still would stay there, due to the size of the room and location.

Excellent Value

We booked the hotel because of its central location and seemingly good value. It was exactly what we had hoped for and more! The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Rooms were good size for a European hotel (with A/C!), bathroom was fair size, and the bedding was comfortable. The location was excellent. The Louvre is a 10 min walk, Chatelet Les Halles is a 5 min walk, Notre Dame is 15 min away. Not to mention that there are many excellent restaurants near by as well as little bodegas. The only reason I give it a 4 star rating is because it's truly not a 5 star hotel like the Shangri La or a Ritz Carlton. However, you are not paying those exorbinate rates either. For the price you pay, the value you receive is much higher than a person would expect. I won't stay anywhere else because after all you don't go to Paris to look at the hotel room. It is an excellent value and perfect for the traveler that wants a nice place to lay their head after a long day exploring.

a Great Overnight Stay

The Hotel Tonic is in a great location, a block or so from the subway, the Louvre is down the street and the Notre Dome is a short walk. Cafe's abound and the access to the sights is all too convenient. The hotel is an old row house style facility, but is up to date and has a charm all it's own... simple and clean. The staff was very helpful and it made for a perfect overnight hotel. If your need a quaint place to sleep and store your baggage, spending your time out in Paris sight seeing... this hotel is for you!

Fantastic location, Room needed upgrading

I booked the hotel based on location to the lourve museum, which was fantastic a 2 minute walk away. Plus your right in the city center so surrounded by all of the gorgeous cafes and shops. The downside to the hotel was the room decor, it was a little out of date and the air con system didnt work, and it was extreemly hot when we stayed. Also if you like your showers of a evening.... there was no hot water left. It was ok the next morning so i susspect they only have a limit number of hot showers and when it come to the night it was all gone. The staff there was extreemly help full and i cannot say one bad word about them.

Can't beat the location

We stayed at Hotel Tonic to be close to the Louvre and the Notre Dame. It was a perfect location and saved us money as we were two blocks from the train station back to the airport and right off the metro line. The staff was fluent in English, informative and very helpful. Breakfast was offered for a reasonable fee

good for the money

Hotel was a good place to rest from the days walking, the beds were o.k. the bathroom was small not bad, the elevator was for one person and the luggage. Not bad for a very old building. It was at walking distance form the Luv. from there we could walk a long strait walk using the Jardines des Tuleries to get to the Place de la Concordia, to the Chomp de Elysees. From there walk south to the Eiffel Tower. It was a good stay.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

After the first day we wanted to have a good breakfast to last until 2pm so we found a buffet at Best Western Hotel on the back street of our hotel fresh breads, fruit, cheeses, eggs, bacon, coffee, tea, juice and more for 16 euros per person. Every item was very good. We ate after 2 at the museums, good food. At days end we gather at the hotel bar for coffee or tee with great tasting peistries which we bought around the corner.

Fantastic Location in Paris!

This hotel is right smack in the city - just 5-7 min walk to the Lourve, 3min walk to Forum Les Halles, 5min walk to the Metro (Lourve Rivoli). The room is bijoux and clean. Water pressure in the bathroom was good. There is free wifi! It really is value for money! I have no complaints. I was a happy camper =)
