A cheap hotel, even when the week
A cheap hotel, even when the week long European Parliament is sitting. For accessibility to the city centre it's only a short walk. The room was very clean but basic enough. Not exactly a hotel to spend a lot of time in but for a short break it did perfectly well. Ideal for the train station and close to a large shopping centre so you could self cater if you were that way inclined!!

I stayed at the Victoria Garden
I stayed at the Victoria Garden mainly cause I had a special deal (35% discount). Had I had to pay the full price I'd have been disappointed by the amenities: while there were two hot plates, a fridge and some utensils (bottle opener, two glasses) I missed a pot or water boiler - couldn't even make myself some tea let alone cook. Furthermore, the TV showed only 4 programs - 2 French channels, 1 sports channel and CNN... At least, the room was clean and the location (close to the train station, rather quiet) was good. Next time I'm going to Strasbourg I'll still be looking for another place.

The location is really excellent,
The location is really excellent, the room was lovely and big and quiet. I didn't have a chance to buy washing up liquid and a sponge, so I felt guilty about leaving some dishes for the cleaner. I'd happily stay there again.

Thought it was excellent value
Thought it was excellent value for money and in a superb location, so handy to the station. Staff very friendly, room clean. Kithcen facilities a bit spartan but adequate for a short stay. Would use the hotel again.

Good location, about 10-15 min
Good location, about 10-15 min walk to the cathedral and the city core. Very convenient to the train station, less than 5 min walk.
