Versailles Hotels - Cheap Hotels in Versailles, France

Our [...] reservation did not specify a 2 bed room. My request for 2 beds did not get into the reservation and therefore not transmitted to the hotel. On arrival we were given a room with a small double bed. The clerk was hesitant to change our room he finally gave us a 2 bed room which really was appropriate for a single person. I believe there were rooms avaiable so I'm not sure why and they would have moved us the next day, but by then it was more trouble than it was worth. Other rooms were clearly much nicer than ours (403. . The continental breakfast at 14 euros is very over priced. We did not check it out, but rather bought a roll at the bakery and took it to the nearby coffee bar. The hotel was clean and well situated. there is parking at the nearby under ground Catherdral Parking area.

The Pullman Versailles Chateau Hotel was very comfortable, the room was clean and quiet. The location of the hotel is magnificent being on the short road that leads to Versailles Chateau main gates, only a 3 minute walk! The tourist bureau is next door. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the buffet breakfast was also good value.

Great location!!! Perfect for going to the chatuea. About a 10 min walk to front golden gate. Clean room, nice staff. Small room, but for euporpe pretty average. No frills, just a room, tv, and a bathroom. A very large bathroom. The parking gargage I must assume is very small because it was full. But the public parking garage was a 3 min walk and was reasonally priced. About 12E over night.

I was visiting my son and the hotel was around the corner. The hotel is located on a street that leads into a quiet plaza ringed with excellent retaurants and cafes, open early to late. Another large plaza is only a two minute walk, filled daily with a great market and dozens of restaurants and French cafes. I had brunch daily in a French cafe down the street from the hotel next to the Courthouse, a truly French experience. Mercure is only a five minute walk to all stores, the train station back to Paris, and the Chateau. The whole neighborhood and city is 19th Century French, quaint and lovely. The Mercure desk staff is the friendliest and most helpful I have ever met in any hotel and I have travelled to many countries. Rooms are clean, modern, with excellent bathrooms. T.V. all in French, except CNN and BBC news. Bring a small radio if you like to rest with music, there is none. If you hate traffic noise on cobblestones, be SURE to get a room on the front side of the hotel only, the side of the hotel is a busy lane. I hate noise, but had a front room and it was no problem, day or night, the rooms have great windows. The room was a bit small for seven nights, but still quite tolerable. If you'll be in Versailles for a few nights, the hotel will work very well if you want a clean, safe hotel with a friendly, English speaking staff.
