French Luxury at it's Best
Immaculately clean, breathtakingly beautiful, super quiet but still close to the Petit and Grand Trianon in Versailles. Friendly albeit not-that-attentive staff. Pricey but worth it for a night or two. Super romantic.

Weekend at Versailles
This hotel is just next to the Queen's hamlet and Petit trianon. For those wishing to get to know the gardens of Versailles, this hotel is perfect. The concierge greeted us with glasses of pear-apple-rosewater beverages - and took care of all our needs. Avoid staying in the Pavillion, which feels like a Holiday Inn. The pool and fitness facility are lovely.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
The gardens are infitinitely more interesting and less crowded than the Palace. Get a good Gardens of Versailles book, learn a bit about Louis XiV before you go, and wander as many of the 90 hectares as you can. You can do it biking, walking or on horseback.

hotel lacked basic services
Seems that the hotel was full, and not enough staff to provide basic services. We made a reservation which included a breakfast as a special deal[...]but the hotel had no knowledge of this special. This then was exta and very expensive. Hotel has great location but rooms rather basic

Wonderful Hotel
We selected the hotel for its location and rating and we were not disappointed. The hotel is right beside the Palais de Versailles and within an easy walk of the town. The staff and service were very good but the disappointment was that the main restaurants were fully booked well in advanced and we could not enjoy their cuisine.

Great location, beautiful hotel
An excellent, beautifully maintained hotel immediately adjacent to the grounds of Versailles. Huge room with all amenities for about the same price as a tiny room in Paris, and only a short train ride away. The buffet breakfast was a bit of a price shock at 39 euros, however.

Worth it on a good deal
Beautiful hotel and grounds with lovely atmosphere. Spacious and spotless rooms, delightful pool area.Service was variable as some staff were helpful and friendly but others rather arrogant, almost disdainful.Probably the grandest hotel I have ever stayed in but far from the best service I have experienced; I would have been unhappy had I paid full price.

Loved our stay at the Trianon
Loved our stay at the Trianon Palace, the service was professional and nothing was ever a bother to the staff. If your going for the 'experience' then I suggest you spend the additional money and stay in a Deluxe room which is in the original building - we did and dont regret it all. I also highly recommend the Gordon Ramsay restaurant - coming from Australia we were thrilled to have the opportunity to try the degustation menu and loved the entire evening - the food, the service, the presentation was memorable - go on and splurge!

Gorgeous, but..
Fantastic location at the side gate to the Chateau Versailles and garden! I wanted to treat my wife with elegance, which this hotel has, so I willingly paid the price for the King room with garden view. However, I wasn't expecting an "okay" breakfast (it rained so we didn't feel like walking to breakfast)to cost 33 Euro (about $46 USD) or to have to pay extra (8 Euro) for one hour internet use. I guess I'm bourgeois at heart.

Our room was an oasis, but we did not go to spend all our time in the room. We had trouble getting taxis to come pick us up at the hotel. The concierge was rarely there and failed to inform us of the taxi difficulty. Internet access should be available free at these prices. Food choices limited.
