The hotel staff stole my LV purse and laptop?

I came down to the hotel restaurant for breakfast (which is only for hotel guests and you need to be checked in at the door by the staff.) I had just put my Louis Vuitton purse and my laptop down by the table to get my breakfast; within 3 mins. they were gone! The guests that were sitting nearby told me that they had not seen anyone around except the waitress that came to set my table. I was running around asking for help to the person in charge and the waitress who was in the area. Neither showed interest in helping. Moreover, there was no security personnel at the hotel to report the theft. When I requested to speak to the managers in charge, instead of talking to me they went first to speak with their staff and were more interested in keeping the situation as quiet as possible. I was told to go to my room and wait for the police. I had to wait 3 hrs for the police to come so I could file a report. When finally a police officer came, he had apparently been already informed by the manager of the hotel, but was told a different story. Adding insult to injury, the management at the hotel showed more interest in deflecting responsibility away from their staff than showing concern about what had happened to me. They told me that these sort of things are not uncommon at the hotel, that theft has happened before and that it was my fault I'd brought valuables with me to the restaurant. If that was the case, they should have place warning signs around the hotel. I travel often and to many places. I know theft can happen anywhere in the street and in public places, but this is a 5 star hotel and you would expect it'd offer a safer and more secure environment for guests. Obviously, not Radisson Blu Hotel. Be careful if you decide to stay at this place.

A fantastic hotel. Nice, modern

A fantastic hotel. Nice, modern and clean rooms, great facilities (sauna, swimming pool, fitness room etc), helpful and friendly staff, great location (next to Alexanderplatz, close to Branderburger Tor) and in addition to this we got a very good price. A large aquarium in the lobby makes the experience even greater. You will not regret staying at this hotel.

Excellent hotel, very well located.

Excellent hotel, very well located. Personnel are very friendly. The only trouble is the twin beds have wheels on them and move apart at the slightest movement.

Perfect in Every Way

We were traveling for leisure and this was out last hotel of many in France, Switzerland and Germany. An excellent place to end a trip and the best by far of all we had stayed. Rooms and bathrooms beautiful, good size and clean. Great location, hop on hop off bus and water taxi at your doorstep. We had business class room on the river with wonderful view. Maid service was great, our room was always made up by the time we got back from breakfast. Only problem we had is they have high security with room keys and in the four days we were there, had to have 3 new keys made because they wouldn't work properly. You have to have a key to get up in elevator and it only goes to your floor. We had friends we wanted to visit on another floor and couldn't get there without re-keying our room. Would suggest requesting rooms on the same floor if traveling with others. Also, people had trouble with their keys working in the elevator. We ate in their restaurant 3 nights and it was good also with nice view of the river. All in all would highly recommend this hotel.

Suggest booking a room rate that includes breakfast as it's very expensive.

Great location, beautiful and modern

Was in for a few days of sightseeing, this place in a fantastic location for walking to most places and different neighborhoods, with Alexanderplatz (subway) 5 minutes away. Very modern hotel, spacious lobby with nice bar/restaurant, and helpful staff.

Very good service and nice rooms

Service was very professional. Rooms were clean. Disappointed that the sushi bar is gone as it was excellent! My wife and I stay because primarily because the rooms have a view into the 1 million liter aquarium..

We were unimpressed with the HEAT restaurant. Beautiful decor and good food, but more expensive than it was worth (we ate their last year..so this year we skipped it)

Mod, exciting hotel in the heart of it a

The reception clerk, porter, concierge and waitstaff were all smiles as soon as we entered. Concierge service was excellent (not put off when we said, "Not too much money!"); porters/valets gave us walking, train, and taxi directions; reception desk was always open and friendly. The location right by the Spree, Museum Island, and Hackescher Markt meant we were truly in the heart of it all.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Hackescher Markt is an S-Bahn and M-bahn stop--but also only 2.5 blocks from the hotel (closer than Alexander Platz). The station has a wonderful market integrated into and around the station. Great street life, dining, market and entertainment. We spent a long lovely afternoon here and could have spent many more.
