Cologne Hyatt is quite ritzy.
The Hyatt in Cologne has a great atmosphere. You feel like you are staying in luxury. The location Is close to areas of interest. A downside is the cost which is high. Internet use will cost you money after the first 30 minutes.

Hyatt Regency Cologne
We went to Cologne for the xmas markets, it was very nice. However, we we arrived to the hotel, at 4PM, none of our rooms were ready and they told us that we will have to wait, at least, one hour before we could have one. The only "explaination" that they gave was that we had to understand that the hotel had been fully booked the day before... After showing that we were not happy at all, they gave us one room out of the 2. We had booked Prime Rhine View rooms, the first one they gave us was a club room (more expensive as you have a breakfast included) with no view at all... In the evening, they gave us the second room telling us that the hotel was full: a room with an outside view on...the trains... Nothing close to the Rhine and Cologne's cathedral... This is far from the service I expect to have when I go to a 5 stars hotel...
