the hotel has an old fashion style but the room was very comfortable.
Location is not just at the old city center but easy access to the highway and 15-20 min walking from the center or 5 min by taxi, public transportation also available few steps from the hotel.
Nice breakfast and service, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel

Stayed for 2 nights. Great location--only a short walk to the main part of town with all the shops and restaurants. The hotel had a fabulous pool/spa area that was very relaxing and wonderfully staffed. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel was very clean and the staff spoke perfect English. The room was very nice and clean, and the bed was very soft. The pool area is very nice. The hot tub wasn't very hot, but it was still beauitiful and relaxing. Checkout was easy and the hotel will hold your bags after checkout, if you want to explore the city some more and don't have a place to put your bags.

I would rate this hotel no more than two star, it was expensive with no breakfast, the building was old and in need of a referb. Rooms were small and had a damp feel(2star) No toiletries in the bathroom (1star) car parking at the hotel was €8 per day extra (1star), Internet €17 per 24hrs (this is 2010 not 1999) I visit Heidlelberg every year I would never entertain this hotel again.

Very small room for 2 people but clean and otherwise comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Iron and ironing board available upon request but kept in room for entire stay. Decent hairdryer. Nice "biergarten" with international clientele. Convenient to Alstadt via bus or car. On street parking available.

Ruhiges,sehr sauberes und grosszügiges Zimmer, freundliches Receptionspersonal aber mit Euro 19.- per Person absolut überteuertes Frühstück, insbesonders kann ein grosszügiges Frühstück zu günstigen Preisen überall in der nahen Altstadt oder auch gleich um die Ecke konsumiert werden. Ob es sich für die NH Hoteles Kette wirklich lohnt an sich zufriedene Gäste mit dieser fragwürdigen Preispolitik beim Frühstück aus dem Haus zu vergraulen wage ich zu bezweifeln.

Well situated hotel with comfortable room and bed. Breakfast choice very good and served until 12pm on Sunday and also late check out to 5pm on Sunday, which I found very convenient since my flight from Frankfurt was not until Sunday evening.

Our boutique design hotel is located in historic downtown Heidelberg on the edge of the pedestrian zone. The combination of a listed historic building and a modern new building make the hotel so appealing. Some of the hotel rooms in the historic building still have ceiling frescos from the 16th century. All sights in the city can be reached in just a short walk.

We were passing through Heidelberg and stayed one night at the Leonardo Heidelberg Hotel. The hotel has everything you would expect a US hotel to have. The staff spoke perfect English and the hotel was in a location that was convenient to both the main train/bus station and the Haupstrasse, as long as you don't mind short walks. It was also very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

LH 0608 The facade of the hotel is very impressive being built in the 17th century in beautiful Renaissance style. The hotel is fantastically located in the middle of the Old Town at the end of the main shopping street, opposite the famous "Holy Ghost Church". The train station is a 20 minute walk away.

Overall this hotel was perfect for those wanting to be in the best location in the city and not pay top dollar for a bigger room that you wont be in!! The location is 20ft. from the famous bridge and the room we had #31 over looked the bridge!! this view we had was better than most any other hotels in the city. You walk out of the room and your right in the heart of the old town, next to the bridge, close walk to the castle and close walk. This hotel is one of those cute places that you see when your on vacation and say" I wish we knew of this place we would have stayed here!!" the only long walk is from the train main station hbf to the hotel and thats maybe 2 miles? but once you get there you dont really need to go to far from what you want to see in heidleberg. 15 dollar cab ride. The hotel front desk is open from 7am to 10pm and they where very helpful. The bed was very comfortable, not a spring mattress like you get in some hotles in europe!! I will stay here if we come back for sure!!!

As a past resident of Heidelberg, I can tell you that the Goldener Hecht is in about as great a location as you're going to find. It's literally right in front of the Old Bridge, and it's in the heart of the town, where you'll find fantastic restaurants and shops. Not only is the hotel and it's staff great, but, in my opinion, the restaurant below the hotel has some of the best food in town. Breakfast is served upstairs in a pretty small room, but it's decent enough. The staff are very friendly, and everyone spoke fluent English. If you're looking for peace and quiet during the days, this hotel may not be for you, as it is surrounded by bars, shops, and restaurants filled with tourists, students, and locals. The noise will usually persist until around midnight, but if you're likely to be one of those people out that late at night, this place is perfect for you. The hotel is also very convenient to the castle, if you wish to check that out, as well. If you've never been to Heidelberg and you're traveling without children, I would definitely recommend this hotel for you.

Situated in a charming section of the beautiful city of Heidelberg, The Deutscher Kaiser room we had was very clean and spacious, with plenty of room for the three of us. The hotel is a short walk to bus and tram stops. The Innkeeper was very helpful with great information about the city and traveling within it.
We would absolutely stay there again.
