This is a perfect choice for the traveller who wants to stay in the atmosphere of a hotel related to Heidelberg`s prime time in the 19th century when the town got its reputation as the home of the "Philosopher". LH 0608 The facade of the hotel is very impressive being built in the 17th century in beautiful Renaissance style. The hotel is fantastically located in the middle of the Old Town at the end of the main shopping street, opposite the famous "Holy Ghost Church". The train station is a 20 minute walk away.

Restaurant
The restaurant is a real feature of this spectacular hotel. It is furnished in a very rustic style with the use of lots of dark wood, antlers and old weapons. It has a high arched ceiling and is lovely and cool during the summer whilst being warm and cosy in winter.

Lovely old hotel, very helpful

Lovely old hotel, very helpful staff and great location in the heart of old town. Rooms are old but very clean and comfortable enough. I would return there.

Gediegenes Hotel in unschlagbarer Lage mitten im Herzen Heidelbergs. In Anbetracht des Preises etwas unmoderne Ausstattung.
