This was a pleasant hotel with a multi-lingual staff that was not only helpful but incredibly accommodating. The location is close enough to the hauptbanhof and the city center that walking the city was easy and fun.

Très bel établissement dans un cadre agréable.
La rivière coule à proximité, c'est reposant, surtout de la salle de resaturant.
Très belle salle de fitness avec piscine.
Nourriture excellente.
Compter 25 à 20 € de taxi pour rallier le centre Munich.
Néanmoins, envoyer des mails vous en coûtera 22 € pour 24h. Là c'est vraiment abuser.

We were in Munich to see the Christmas markets after visiting Slovenia and Austria. Munich was delightful as always and the markets were a lot of fun.
The hotel is a pleasant walk away from downtown, about 20 minutes, mostly through the English Gardens. So that was nice. No idea about public transportation as we always walked to and fro - I liked to see what the surfers were up to on the standing wave in the canal enetering the park. Quite dedicated to be surfing on December 24th I thought, even if wearing dry suits. One fellow confirmed that it was very cold and that his gloves were leaking.

In unserem Zimmer gab es keine Nachttisch-Lampen am Bett und es fehlten einfache Haken für Handtücher oder auch für Jacken zum Aufhängen. Das Frühstück war gut und ausreichend. Das Personal war freundlich.

Super gelegenes, sehr einfaches Hotel. Wer sich länger im Zimmer aufhalten will sucht sich ein anderes Hotel. Wenn man aber lediglich übernachtet und die Nähe zum Bahnhof/City wichtig ist dann ist dieses Hotel vom Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut.

This hotel does not offer a "breakfast included" option and indeed I consider too costly to pay 29 euros if yoy want it.

This was our second time to Munich for Oktoberfest and last year we stayed further away and had to take the train every where! This location was perfect for everything to do in Munich! We walked to Oktoberfest. We walked to the Augustiner Biergarten. We walked to the train station! We walked to shopping and dining! As far as the room was concerned, it was very modern and had plenty of amenities.

We used this hotel as a hub to get out to Fussen and the Neuschwanstein Castle, to Dachau, and to Marienplatz which was within walking distance. Handy to the hauptbahnhof and nearby restaurants. The room, although efficient, was teenie, tiny.

Die Bewertungen meiner Vorgängerinnen und Vorgänger liess mich dieses Hotel auswählen. Und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Vom Hauptbahnhof liegt dieses Hotel keine fünf Gehminuten entfernt und befindet sich in diesem belebten Quartier doch in einer Querstrasse, wo nicht soviel Verkehr und Trubel herrscht. In der gleichen Strasse befinden sich mehrere Youth Hostels, das stört aber keineswegs.
Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Fremdsprachenkenntnisse scheinen zudem ansprechend zu sein. Für die, die es brauchen.
Das Hotel sowie die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet und sauber. Mein Einzelzimmer war aber sehr knapp bemessen. Viel Platz bleibt nicht, doch für meinen Wochenendtrip kein Problem.
Das Frühstück ist wirklich top und bietet für jeden etwas. Auch die Bedinung war hier angemessen.
Zu den Kritikpunkten, zugegeben auf höherem Niveau: Warum WLAN in der heutigen Zeit, obwohl auch viele Anbieter akzeptiert werden, pro Stunde 3 Euro kostet, ist mir schleierhaft in der heutigen Zeit. Man kann zwar auch Tages- oder ein Fünfstundenzugänge (6 Euro) kaufen, doch die laufen immer nach dem ersten Login unerbittlich bis zum Ende durch.
an meinem Wochenende feierte man hier im Hotel die Ankunft des diesjährigen Beaujolais. Es war reichlich Betrieb und am Samstag Abend waren die Hallen gefüllt mit Leuten. Dagegen ist ja nichts einzuwenden. Warum man aber morgens um zwei Uhr noch alle Tische im Innenhof verstauen muss, das ist mir unerklärlich. Vor allem wenn wohl fast die Hälfte der Gäste ihr Zimmer auf diese Seite hat. Das wurde mite einem solchen Lärm getan, dass fast eine Stunde an Schlaf nicht zu denken war. Hier würde ich von einem Viersternehaus einfach mehr Rücksicht erwarten.

We stayed one night and the hotel was great for that! City is in walking distance, rooms are very clean, check-in and check-out very easy and in English language... streetside rooms have traffic noise if window is open...for us it was a great choice for a decent price!!!!

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Hotel in der Nähe Messe München und hatte keinen besonderen Anspruch. Das Hotel hat mit seiner Ausstattung und dem überaus freundlichen Personal mehr als positiv überrascht und ich werde in Zukunft, wenn ich in München ein Zimmer benötige, immer zuerst dort anfragen.

This was a great hotel. The front desk staff were very helpful with directions to locations all over Munich. They offered a wonderful breakfast buffet and their restaurant was very good as well. We really enjoyed our stay here and we'll be staying here again any time we come back to Munich.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommenes, kahles und leer wirkendes Entree, aber sehr zuvorkommendes, hilfsbereites Personal an der Rezeption.
Die Lage ist hervorragend, selbst bei eisigem Wetter
Ist der Fussweg ins Zentrum der Stadt leicht bewältigbar, aber auch die Anreise per U-Bahn z.B. zum BMW-Museum ist supereinfach, da der Abgang zu den Verkehrsmitteln direkt vorm Hotel liegt.
Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

King's Hotel is a nice clean hotel in a good location near the train station. The room and the bathroom were small, but clean and modern. The neighborhood is not much but there are three restaurants in the area.

The Hotel Alfa City Center is located in a fantastic area - quiet one way street just across the train station. The cosy family drived hotel is located in a parallel street to the main train station. This is a fantastic location and also within walking distance to the main shopping centre, the Marienplatz, the downtown of Munich and the Theresienwiese where the famous Octoberfest takes place.
Our elegant and comfort rooms are furnished with shower or bath/WC, minibar, telefon and

We stayed for 2 nights and our rooms faced the main street. My parents and I stayed in rooms 102 and 103. I would agree with previous reviews mentioning the fact that the street is busy and noisy during the day and at night. Although my parents'room was ok once their window was closed, mine was still very noisy. I was told at the reception that some windows are old and cannot close properly. They did give me another room facing inwards for the second night at no extra cost which was good of them. Breakfast was great and location very close to the main train station. The neighbourood is not brilliant but safe to walk through and only 15_20 minutes to Marienplatz. All in all I will probably use this hotel again.

Decor is a little dated looking but it's clean, and the staff are friendly. Our room wasn't air-conditioned, which is probably fine most of the time, but we visited during a cruel 34 degree heatwave. Walking distance from the beautiful city centre.

Bin mit meinem Mann erst um ca. 22.30 Uhr angekommen. Wir wurden sehr schnell und herzlich empfangen, ohne Probleme. Sehr nettes Personal! Sehr grosses und vielfältiges Morgenessen-Buffet!

Great location within 10-15 minutes walk to Christmas Markets, Glockenspiel/New Town Hall as well as Octoberfest grounds. Staff was great, courteous, helped with directions and dinner reservations.

It's right across from the main train station, a short walk to everything, and is a great upscale hotel without being stuffy. As we were in Munich in January, the hot tub and indoor pool were both very nice after sightseeing all day in the snow!! The concierge is very knowledgeable and makes great recommendations on tours, restaurants, etc. We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again. We were thrilled to have an almost average size room as we would get at a hotel in the U.S., which is unexpected in Europe! Wonderful!

The hotel is in an excellent location-a 5 min walk to a vibrant train station. You can easily get to/from the airport and to many historical sights. Also, the station is a great place to eat/shop.
Although the room was very clean, I was disappointed that the housekeeping entered my room repeatedly while I had the Do Not Disturb sign posted. There is no excuse for this. I reported this to the front desk and felt certain that they followed through, but still the HK staff entered.
I was surprised that Le Meridien-Munich is listed as a 5 star hotel. There are few amenities, the lighting is poor, the bed was very hard, and wireless internet is not available in the room. However, the room was clean, and that is the most important. I would stay there again.

Did not get the room expected. Was suppose to be with a view. Was not. When asked, Desk stated nothing else available but staff earlier stated hotel should have had accomodations. Room was clean, bathroom impressive but website is a bit misleading on what you actually get. Overpriced for the room.

Excellent location for a one or two days business travel, perfectly located in the middle of the city. In no time connection to public transport (S-/U-Bahn, tram) and in walking distance to central areas (Marienhof, Fussgaengerzone, restaurants, meeting places)
Great service overall, pleasant atmosphere.
Rooms could have been little bit more generous for a member of LHW, still confortable for the general rating of the location.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen und etwas abgewohnt: Teppich abgeschabt, TV winzig und alt - aber wird demnächst renoviert - es hängt ein Schild im Aufzug.
Die Möbilierung ist für meinen Geschmack zwar etwas altmodisch, aber durchaus O.K.
Die Lage ist umwerfend! So zentral, in Hbf-Nähe.
Wenn möglich, ein Zimmer zum Innenhof wählen; zwar kein toller Ausblick, aber man kann bei offenem Fenster schlafen - es gibt nämlich keine Klimaanlage!
Das Frühstück ist dafür TOPP!!!! Die Erwartungen an ein 3-Sterne-Haus wurden weit übertroffen! Es gab sogar Weisswürste und Rührei!
Man sitzt jedoch etwas beengt - was mich nicht stört.
Fazit: für ein Wochenende in München eine super Wahl, für einen Erholungs- oder Wellness-Urlaub jedoch das falsche Haus!

Room was clean and moderate size. Ours faced the street, but we didn't experience noise issues. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free wireless internet was a big help. Short walk to the train station. We didn't eat breakfast since we were training out each day and there were plenty of places to grab a bite in the station.

Schönes, modernes Hotel mit reichlichem, qualitativ gutem Frühstücksbuffet!
Das Triplezimmer ist mit einem separaten, abschliessbaren Raum für die 3.Person ausgestattet.
Internetzugang gratis, leider nur mit Kabel, ein WLAN Anschluss wäre "state of the art"...
Negativ:
Die Lage ist nicht ganz optimal, etwas abgelegen, Auto empfehlenswert.
