Overpriced two to three star

This is not a four star hotel. Well, maybe three stars in Germany, where hotels are in general poor. No room service available, no air conditioning, no free internet (which you have to pay 5 euros to use in the lobby!), and a stinky room... In general not a good experience after a long flight from the US, and certainly not worth upwards of $250 a night.

Questionable Location

We had the pleasure of arriving in Munich at the start of Oktoberfest, which meant that the hotels rates were higher than normal. The hotel certainly offers the standard amenities; the room was clean and well appointed, but extremely small, even by European standards. Just walking in the room with two medium sized suitcases was difficult, and the bathroom was tiny. The location of the hotel is the least desirable aspect of this hotel. While it is convenient to the Hauptbahnhof and the U-Bahn, getting there from the hotel made us feel extremely uncomfortable. In addition the proximity across the street to a hostel meant that there was a significant amount of noise throughout the night, as well as party revelers in the adjacent apartment buildings. For my next visit to Munich I will choose a different hotel.

Easy access to the Munich Hauptbahnhof, with U-Bahn and S-Bahn station nearby. Get a day pass that allows you transit around the city.

mixed review

This hotel is very convenient to the railroad station. It's clean and has two tv news stations in English. There is a fee to use the wifi, but it is very fast. I would have rated the hotel very high except that our room was across the street from a youth hostel and bar. There was loud noise and light till 3 am.

Handy location

We used this hotel as a hub to get out to Fussen and the Neuschwanstein Castle, to Dachau, and to Marienplatz which was within walking distance. Handy to the hauptbahnhof and nearby restaurants. The room, although efficient, was teenie, tiny.

Friendly, convient value hotel

Hotel location great for those arriving by train or plane since it is less than a block from the main train station. The S Bahn and U Bahn can take you any where you don't want to walk to. The staff was very helpful with all our question and the rooms were great with very nice baths. Downside is that the neighborhood is iffy for families. Street noise level high and lasted until 2 AM but it was Friday night during Fashing. Just a reminder, breakfast is 15 euros, Internet is 9 euros. There is no airport shuttle as advertised. But still think it was a good deal for Munich.

Great shopping just a block away, Karstadt and many other stores. You can shop your way to way to the Marienplatz. The major art galleries are just 6 blocks away too.

Great Value!

Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast although it was an extra. Great location 1/2 block from the main train station. I shop value for price and tend to be a bit frugal. I got a great deal on a good hotel. When traveling the bed and bath tend to be the big variables. Excellent modern, large marble shower/bathroom and comfortable beds.

Great Location, clean, good value

We visited during Christmas week and enjoyed the Christmas Villages throughout the city. The best was in the Center closest to us. Just a few blocks away. This area would be great off season too.Shopping, people watching, food... If you are travelling by train, the loacation of the hotel is great. Exit the station, cross the street and it is within a block. Get directions to it first. Let's just say, we took the long way. Very easy, once we found it. The rooms are a little small, but adequate for a couple. Rooms overlook the side street and have a small deck, (if you can manage the window access, it is a nice place to sit and finish the day). The shower was excellent. Staff was efficient. When asked questions, they were good at answering. Don't expect them to actively, go out of there way for you. Very nice though. Good value for Munich, indeed.

Visit the bath house near the Aviation Museum. Real authentic spa experience. You could feel the history from this gorgeous old building. Bring a towel and flipflops, the floors are hot! Expect shared facilities. There are no bathing suits warn while in the saunas, steam and cooling baths. It's the European way!
