The O & B Athens Boutique Hotel is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The room cleanliness and comfort were amazing. The staff was exceptional and went out of there way to help us in any way that they could. They have a great restaurant with an assortment of food items and beverages.

The hotel was clean as was the room,cleaned daily. The entire staff was excellent. Going beyond just friendly, they each answered all our questions and met our needs. The location is now not the best. The area is now habitated with street people. We did not go out after dark. The situation in Athens politically is bad.Police presence is everywhere. We are not planning to return.

Hotel itself was fine, staff was nice and willing to help. Rooms were dated, but clean and coffee/breakfast in the morning was nice. The location of the hotel in terms of proximity to Plaka, Metro station, National Museum and Acropolis was great for those who want to see the city on foot, not too far away from anything, and easy metro access to the airport and ferry port. The neighborhood is pretty rough, lots of graffiti, drug use and prostitution, but as far as we could tell that is common in almost all of Athens, plenty of 5 star hotels in the same neighborhood for much higher rates. Stay on the major streets 2 and 3 blocks to the east for access to all the major sites and you should be OK. Don't come here expecting luxury, but if you are just looking for a place to sleep and shower, it should work OK.

While this hotel may be advertised as 5 stars, it is nowhere near a five stars experience. The amenities are silly (a CD player instead of something useful like coffee) and a terrible, terrible neighborhood. I only stayed there because I had business nearby, but even now I doubt I would ever, ever stay again. It's decent, in the sense that you can simply sleep there if you don't care about anything else. But if you desire comfort, look elsewhere

The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the duration of my stay. The hotel has trendy, fun common areas, with great views of the city at night. The rooms have a nice size compared to accomodations at other European hotels. The hotel is conveniently located across from the Metro but the neighborhood is less than desirable.

Du bruit à cause de la circulation et de certains clients qui ne pensent qu'à eux. Il est écrit quelque part dans les commentaires que l'hôtel est situé dans un quartier "chaud" ; je n'ai eu aucun problème. Au niveau restauration, pas trop de choix. Vue magnifique sur l'Acropole depuis la terrasse où se trouve le restaurant.

The staff was very helpful and let us use their printer and fax machine. Wifi in room was weak but functional. Beds not very comfortable. A/c is set at 25 degrees. It is on a busy street, but double-paned balcony made the noise tolerable. Breakfast was more than enough to fill us up. Very close to metro. Room was clean but had a funny smell. The area seemed to be a lot safer than Omonia etc.

Chambre propre avec clime, petit déjeuner inclus, rénové probablement. Pas mal pour le prix. Mais comme je l'ai dis pour un autre hotel dans le même quartier ça craint la nuit le quartier.
Mais par chance un resto tipique grèc est juste en face du hotel donc pas besoin de se deplacer pour manger.
Chose bisare les taximetristes ne voulais pas trop aller quand ils entendaient Koumoundouru street :)

I enjoyed the hotel staff mostly [...]. They were helpful and friendly. The hotel is close to everything, but not in a great (safe) area. It can get a little scary at night. However, if you stick to the main roads, it is only a 15 minute walk to the ruins. For the money, it was well worth it. I would recommend the hotel if you want to be close, but not too close and save a few dollars.

Weird neighborhood (night time), but not that bad, considering the low prices, for one night in Athens !
However, if you have to stay longer, try something near the square Syndagma (more central !)

OK for one night

We spent one night in the hotel. The fellow at the reception was friendly and helpful. Walls were thin but the noise quieted by late evening. Arriving after dark the surroundings seemed unsavory. We took a walk after breakfast and found that the hotel is in an old, crowded neighborhood but not threatening in the daylight. However, if we return to Athens we will look for a different place to stay.

Evripides katu on aivan Ateenan sydämmessä, kadulla sijaitsee eksoottisia mauste- ja pähkinäkauppoja (ja siemenmyymälöitä). Ihanat Ateenan kauppahallit ovat parin korttelin päässä - tuoretta kalaa kalaravintoloista & halvat hinnat. Myös Psirrin sydämessä olevat ravintolat ja tavernat ovat lähellä, illalla tosin kannattaa katsoa millä pikkukadulla kulkee koska narkomaaneja on lähistöllä ja työttömiä siirtolaisnuoria maleksii kaduilla.
Evripides katu saattaa olla meluinen aamuisin, joten huone yläkerroksista on paras (6 kerroksessa ihanat isot parvekkeet tai terassit- pohjoiseen päin joten aurinko ei porota sisään).
Hotelli on siisti, hyvä internet yhteys ja henkilökunta super ystävällistä ja avuliasta!

The hotel was fine for a budget hotel. It was very clean with good facilities and the views of the Acropolis from my balcony and the rooftop terrace were fantastic. The only downside was the location. It is in an area quite close to various sites but the neighbourhood is very seedy with groups of males hanging around and drug deals occurring in broad daylight. I did not venture out at night as I was travelling on my own.

You can stay if you wish! but it is not an exclusive and convinient place. I would not choose it again. Elevators are poor and you have to wait for a long time, personal looks very tired, no smiles. Only check out was quick and I got a smile! probably reason was that they don't see us anymore:-)

Even though the best places to see and eat aren't necessarily within walking distance, the metro station is right out in front of the building making it very easy to get around.
It is more of a convention hotel, but does have accessible balconies and a decent view from the roof. The rooftop pool is very small, but the bar & restaurant on the roof are nice (expect hotel prices).

As American traveling in Greece, at first we were underwhelmed. The area was run-down, the hotel was old, and the room was very small. However, it was very clean and we had everything we needed. The rooftop breakfast is such a wonderful amenity.
Our travel agency booked the hotel in a big package deal so I can't really comment on value, since I don't really know what the rate was.

The Jason Inn in Athens had great views from the rooftop dining area of the Acropolis. Breakfast had a variety of items. Dinner menu was also good. The neighborhood was about the only concern, however we had no problems and the police had a station on the street. Bathroom was small, but that's Europe. The Metro was close by so we could hop on to see the attractions. All in All, I would say our stay there was positive and I would stay again.

having never traveled o/s i really didnt know what to expect but can say that without the friendly service and site seeing tips Athens would have been a very large place to get lost in. I highly recommend the King Jason Hotel for a place to stay and enjoy Athens. We started our days every morning with an incredible breakfast included in our price which set the day nicely. Nothing was ever a problem for the staff who where always polite, obliging and all spoke great english. Thanks all for a great few days in your beautiful city and great hotel will come back again when in Athens agian

Description
A great quality hotel in the heart of Athens. The main shopping and sightseeing areas are easily accessible. (1108/AC) This is a fully renovated neoclassical building. This property is situated in the heart of Athens opposite the National Theatre and the Church of St Constantine. Omonia Square is a minutes walk away together with the Omonia metro station. Beyond this is the historic area of Monastiraki, Thissio and Plaka. The trendy area of Psirri with it's many picturesque tavernas, restaurants and bars is a short walk away. The airport is 40 minutes by either metro or car.

This hotel is not in a good area

We had booked this hotel for our last night in Greece. We did not make it to the hotel. This side of Omonia square resembles Times Square. It is not a good location at all. About a block before the hotel (coming from the metro), we turned around and went with the hotel that we had stayed on our first night in Greece (we spent most of our trip exploring the islands). Didnt see the hotel but we just did not feel at all comfortable in this exact area.

Ein für griechische Verhältnisse gutes Hotel in absolut zentraler Lage mit (saisonabhängig!) venünftigem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, das sich 1,5 Jahr nach dem ersten Aufenthalt bestätigt hat.

Had an enjoyable stay at the Hotel. Area was a little sketchy at night. However, we felt reasonably safe.
Staff was great . We couldnt get the heating to work. Basically the remote was not functioning.
Would stay there again.
