Great location, friendly staff
A nice hotel in a great location near syngrou-fix metro station. The Acropolis is only 10 minutes walk at a normal pace. The room was really comfortable and view from the rooftop incredible. Breakfast was a bit limited in the choices but ok in general. Staff answered all of my questions on opening hours of the sites and restaurants ithe area. I would return to this hotel anytime. Don't be afraid to use the train and metro from the airport. It' a bit longer thant the taxi but cheaper and reliable.

Acropolis Ami Boutique Hotel is a quaint hotel that, although isn't located in the center of the Athens and the monuments, is close enough that you can walk where you want in a reasonable amount of time (or take the metro station, only 1 stop away from the acropolis). The staff is very friendly and the breakfast buffet is equivalent to a Greek home cooked meal. My hotel room had a view of the acropolis and the cleanliness of the room was good.

Nice place
My husband and I only had one night in Athens, and wanted to stay within walking distance of the Acropolis. Although our room did not had a view of the Acropolis, you could go to the top floor of the hotel and enjoy an excellent view. The hotel staff was friendly, the rooms small, but clean. We were able to catch the metro to the airport only a 5 minute walk away.

cute hotel, great potential
we only stayed two nights. because of the taxi strike we had a horrible trip TO the hotel, but once we arrived the night receptionist was very kind and helpful, made sure the taxi we did manage to find didn't rob us, and even offered us a beer to take the edge off. the hotel lobby and rooms are very well air conditioned. and, it has to be said, THE BEDS ARE AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE. seriously. we slept until noon. perhaps this is why we did not get maid service, haha. if you want someplace within walking distance to the acropolis, good value for money, where you can plop down into a glorious cloud of a bed after a day's sightseeing, this is a good place. if you don't fork over the extra 30 euros for an acropolis view, the room view is nothing special[but who cares when you can go to the roof and chill], and the bathrooms are as small as everywhere else in greece. the hotel is currently under construction as it is brand new; this was not a noise issue, but a functional one - loose odds and ends here and there in the room, and our bathroom didn't have a shower curtain or door, but this was actually preferred as we could then shower in comfort and a bit more space. the lighting in the room was nice, the tv was set to an auto-dim when you turned the lights out, and the room comes with a safe. when the rooftop bar is finished and opened, it will be amazing; until then you can BYO and sit atop with an amazing view at night. finally, the breakfast was quite good compared to others we'd had, with freshly juiced OJ and chocolate crepes among other things. the day receptionists also deserve a mention for being knowledgeable and helpful with regard to travel and tourist info. the hotel is located on a very small street--just walk around the agios pandeleimonias church and walk up the ramp.

Wonderful boutique near Plaka
This beautiful, affordable hotel is a few blocks from the Plaka and near a tram line, but on a quiet residential street. The included breakfast was the best we had in Greece, including fresh made chocolate filled crepes, scrambled eggs, and a variety of pastries as well as cheese, cold cuts, cereal, and fruits. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Newly renovated, the lobby is beautiful, as are the rooms. We visited museums, took the tram to the beach, and shopped.

The new Acropolis Museum is a must-see, and they have a lower rate for college students, while the Acropolis is free for college students!

Great value!
The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the main tourist sites and attractions. It is extremely close to the metro and had a great view of the akropolis from our hotel room and the 6th floor garden! It was a great value for the money and the staff were friendly and tried to help as best they could. It can be difficult to find at first but once you know where it is you won't have any problems.

Nightlife tip:
Short drive from hotel
If you want to go to local nightclubs and dance bars check out the area by the Karamikos metro stop. Tales about 15 minutes to get to on the metro.
