This is one of the friendliest places your will find

The staff at this hotel were friendly and prompt to take care of me and my wife's needs. Billy is the Best. He answer all of our questions and took care of transportation for us to the port for our cruise even during a taxi and public transportation strike . I would recommend this hotel to any one and will be staying here again when my wife and i return in two years.

NO TRANSFER TO HOTEL!

1st of all there was no transfer to the hotel - i emailed the hotel asking if they were able to pick us up at the airport, if not could they could direct me on how to get to the hotel using public transportation - never received a word back! Had to pay 37 Euros for a transfer from the airport to the hotel. Once we arrived we were greated by the staff who gave us our key. The room smells like PEE! There are no shower curtains so the whole bathroom floor is soaked. The bed smells, the carpets smell - like someone pee'd throughout the room. Then the next morning found out we had to take a bus to the train and then transfer trains to get to the city of Athens. To get back to the airport the hotel wanted 40-45 Euros (more than the taxi). However, you can take a taxi to the train station - around 10 euros - then take the train and transfer at the regional rail - it will cost 1/2 the price if you are trying to save some $. Seriously though, you are better off staying in the city somewhere where you have a direct commute to the city from the airport and have restaurants to eat at.

Quiet out of the way

Transfers from bus to train to reach Athens city center were confusing at first but easy once you got it down. The out of the way location was very relaxing. Except for very small bathroom it was a wonderful stay and nice after the hectic rush of other cities such as Paris and Rome.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Learn the buses and trains. You can go anywhere cheaply. Fellow passengers are often more helpful than transit employees if they understand you and many speak at least enough English to help.

ANIXI BOUTIQUE HOTEL - ATHENS

The location is excellent. Far from downtown Athens but a very nice and safe area. Takes some walking or a short ride to get to convenient stores but it is worth. The food in the Taverns few blocks away was excellent. And the personnel in the hotel was admirably warm, friendly, helpful, just nice! It is not a fancy hotel, but clean, quiet, and safe. We were on vacation, rode buses, trains, taxi cabs, and went on an Islands cruise (far to be picked up from-we needed to get closer to Athens for bus to pick us up). I can say it has been as good or even better than some expensive or four stars hotels I have been in.

For the money, this hotel is worth taking it. Do not expect luxury. Be prepare to take buses, trains, or spend on taxi cabs (taxi drivers are wonderfully helpful)

Nosotros conseguimos una super oferta y mereció la pena, un muy buen precio con desayuno incluido. Al centro se tardan 80 minutos. Hay que tomar un autobús y después el metro.
