- Candia Hotel is in the centre of Athens, on the edge of the car restricted area, opposite the Larissis railway station & near the Metaxourgio underground station, within walking distance from Omonia Square & the commercial district of Athens, close to the famous National Museum. Driving directions: From the Athens International Airport, you take the Attiki Odos towards to Elefsina - Athens. You go straight till the exit 8, where you follow the national road Athens - Lamia. Then you take the exit on the left toward Athinon Av. Continue on Achilleos str. At Karaiskaki Square, take the 3rd exit into Theod. Diligianni str. Continue on Theodorou Diligianni str. The hotel is on your right hand. From Piraeus port you take the Kifissou Av. & take the exit toward to Athens - Athinon Av. Continue on Achilleos str. At Karaiskaki Square, take the 3rd exit into Theod. Diligianni str. Continue on Theodorou Diligianni str. The hotel is on your right hand.

nice stay but the room smells smoky even
the first room i was given left me almost choked with strong cigarette smell so that i asked a change. the new one with 3 beds seemed a bit better bearable, wondering why the hotel still allows smoke inside. the staff are all nice and helpful. the hotel is close to the subway station. 2 blocks away there're restaurants and grocery stores. I came across 3 pocket pickings in a single day but it's nothing to do with the hotel.

In Hotel
there's no subway service until 6 something am, if your flight is earlier, you need one hour drive to the airport. taxi costs you about 50 euro but bus x95 from the centre only 5. you still need a taxi from hotel to the center station, which costs you from 6 to 10

Unbeatable location for the price
Nothing elaborate, but we got more than enough for the money. Instead of taking the main street from the hotel; turn left when you leave the building and you will find nice restaurants and grocery stores. Breakfast is always the same. Free internet is never a hassle and always works well in the room regardless the floor you're on. Oh and the bathroom had a small tub rather than just a shower. That was good. Pleased for the price.

Left when you leave the hotel. Go a few blocks and then search in that area. The BEST was a brick face storefront with square sconce lighting attached outside. All steaks and meats were top quality.

Great location!!
The entire stay was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful for getting around the city. Free internet access, and a beautiful view from the roof. The breakfast was good too.

You get what you pay for
This hotel is close distance to the metro station but in a sketchy area. It is super hot in the summer and the air flow is not good. The breakfast is the same everyday.

Hotel was adequate for our needs.
The hotel was fine and adequate to our needs, but the unpredictable strikes of taxis, buses and trains were very inconvenient during our stay. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and sent a driver to the airport after midnight to pick us up.
