One of the most sumptuous archaeological sites of Greece is the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, south-east of Athens. The Grecotel Cape Sounio literally clings to a pineclad hillside with panoramic views over this ancient monument. Behind the hotel is the Sounio National Park, one of the few remaining green spaces in the Attica province. Below the hotel are two bays which can be reached via tunnels. The buildings are designed as an amphitheatre allowing breathtaking views on the Temple of Poseidon and the sea from most guestrooms and public areas. Hotel is also providing free breakfast to their guests.

Paradise by the Sea

A fantastic experience at a seaside resort. Our bungalow overlooked the sea and the Temple of Poseidon. The breakfast excellent and was a great chance to sample the Greek cuisine.
