Bells, Bells, Bells

Very comfortable beds. Some of the baths are small with small showers. Some rooms have only a double bed. Not comfortable for two adults. Acropolis view rooms are wonderful, but there is a church across the street. Bells every 1/2 hour. Small elevator, so many stairs. Very helpful front desk staff. No kleenex. Clean rooms. Good WiFi. Breakfast is simple but OK.

Get good directions to the Acropolis. You can walk to it from Magna Grecia, but the front desk has trouble with directions.

Great Location

Overall a great experience. Breakfast is terrific. Information at the desk is a bit tedious (but they do try and will look things up if specifically asked to do it). Room was spacious and romantic.

Incredible location and accomodations

THIS WAS A PERFECT HOTEL FOR OUR TRAVEL THE EXPERIENCE WAS OLD WORLD CHARM. Winding stair cases, small personalized experience and the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. They even allowed us to store our larger luggage while we took trips throughout Greece to stay at other hotels The view of the acropolos was breath taking

A lovely boutique hotel with good

A lovely boutique hotel with good sizes rooms and comfortable beds. The rooftop breakfast are is, as advertised, great for looking at the Acropolis - which is a short walk away. The hotel is handy to the main restaurant and shopping areas and the Metro. Staff pleasant and helpful. Note it has wi-fi access, but no computer available for guests. Highly recommended.

Confirm Room with a View

Although [...] lists as having airport transport, there is none to the airport. One of the staff suggested we look into taking the metro or bus which turned out to be easy and very reasonable. Our room (206)had two windows facing a staircase and elevator consequently we could not leave them open so the room had no natural light. The bed was very unncomfortable.

Stayed for a conference

We stayed in the "Mykonos" (room 204). The view is what made this hotel for us. The acropolis with the parthenon all lit up at night is incredibly romantic and beautiful. The room was very clean with a king bed (too soft for our tastes, but we like sleeping in hard beds). We didn't have much interaction with the staff--just checked us in the first day and out the last day. We had friends staying in a much cheaper hotel where staff seemed much friendlier and helpful (gave us maps and pointed us to worthwhile sights, etc.)--even to us though we weren't staying there! There is a breakfast served from 7 to 10am that was typical (we had both better and worse) of the hotels we stayed in during our trip to Greece and you can view the acropolis while eating. We were there at the end of May and it was, I believe, uncharacteristically hot. It had been predicted to be in the high 70's F; but instead was around 88 F. For some reason, we found it hard to control the temperature in the room; we were either freezing or dripping with sweat. Unfortunately, we left the window open the first night and got bitten by mosquitos, so we didn't do that again. It is convenient to Syntagma Square and the airport express (X95) takes you there for only 3.20 Euros in about an 1 hour. Then, it is about a 10 minute walk to the hotel as long as you are aware that the names of the streets change. In other words, I didn't. I knew the name of the street and that it was straight out from the square, but the name of the street is not the same at the square as it is for the hotel. We would've save ourselves lugging luggage around Athens the first night if we would've followed a map and ignored the names on the signs! Alternatively, you can pick up a taxi where they let you off the bus and it can take you to your hotel (but then again, you can take a taxi from the airport for about 30 to 40 Euros).

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

You can pretty much see everything you want in a day, so I wouldn't spend more than one night in Athens if I could do it over. Even shopping is more expensive in Athens than on the islands, so I wouldn't spend much time shopping there. Even drinks are double the cost of places like Mykonos and Santorini. So, visit the acropolis, etc. and move on to more breathtaking views and less expensive purchases.

We had a great time in this hotel, the staff were very friendly, the room was gorgeous, the view of the Acropolis spectacular, the location perfect for walking everywhere and the breakfast was amazing. The building is beautifully decorated and the bed super comfortable.

Clean hotel Close to the Platka

It all comes down to what you are looking for in a hotel. We look for clean rooms, helpful staff, decent continental breakfast, and location. This hotel had all of these amenities. I booked two rooms. They upgraded one of the rooms to a room that had a view of the Acropolis. The view was absolutely fantastic. The second room was an inside room. One could consider the room a cave because there were no outside windows, but for us, it was fine. After all what is a hotel room for except to have a place to shower, change and sleep while you explore the city you are visiting.
