Right in the heart of beautiful Athens city (Greece), in the scenic area of Plaka, on the foothills of the magnificent monument of Acropolis, you can find the comfortable “Nefeli” Hotel. Established in 1976, this small (18 room in total) family run hotel, has managed to gain many loyal customers over the years, both from Greece and abroad. Also, Nefeli Hotel has recently been refurbished in the neoclassical style to fit in harmony with its surroundings. NEFELI HOTEL LOCATION IN PLAKA Nefeli is situated only five minutes on foot from Athens city center and yet in a very peaceful area. It is located between the Metro Stations of Syntagma and Acropolis, close to tram and central bus lines. Staying at Nefeli Hotel is very convenient, as you are able to reach the many sights of Athens very easily.

Nothing Extraordinary, but Gets Job Done For Price

This hotel definitely has value going for it. It is not on the nicest corner in Athens, but it is right around the corner from restaurants and the Plaka. About a 5 minute easy walk to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. It is not fancy, but it's clean. A bit smoky smelling, but nothing overpowering. The 24 hour staff is very helpful in giving directions, suggestions, and calling cabs, etc. Breakfast is simple, but filling. For the price/location, I think we would go back again. Tip: make sure to specify a double bed or you may get two twins.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Walk out front door, turn right and then left at the first alley. There are a number of good, affordable tavernas on that street.
