Parnon Hotel Athens

We stayed here for literally 7 hours in between a flight and a boat. This place was amazing value (31.00GBP) and is close to the metro station. The room was tiny, as was the bathroom. Possibly the smallest I've ever been in but the aircon worked, it was clean and it was just for sleeping. Free and superbly fast internet. For all that, it was exactly what we wanted.

A friend and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks. We both wanted something affordable, safe, and a good location to the ruins of Athens. It met all three of our requirements. Positive comments: Room was very clean and well maintained. One day the toilet broke, and it was fixed later in the afternoon before I had even the opportunity to ask. Staff was very friendly, especially the waitresses who worked in the cafe. Hotel is three blocks from the National Archaeological Museum, and maybe four blocks from where the bus leaves for Cape Sounio (Temple of Poseidon.) An easy and short walk to the main sights, fifteen minutes to twenty minutes to the closest sight, 30 minutes to 35 minutes to the acropolis or the temple of zeus. Negative comments: Not such a great view, but it didn't bother me because I was hardly in the room. Yes, there are prostitutes directly outside of the hotel, but they didn't bother us once, and if I didn't know ahead of time that there were prostitutes there, I probably wouldn't have even noticed them. It's not the best area, but I always felt safe walking back to the hotel because I stuck to the same route, and there were plenty of people out and about until at least eleven o'clock at night. (would recommend taking a taxi back if you don't feel safe or if it's too late.) Aside from the museum, polytechnic, and the central market, there's not much in that area. Not much for dining options in the area either. Overall, the hotel was what I wanted, and aside from the things outside of the hotel's control, I would say it was just fine. If I ever went back with a friend I would consider staying here again, but if I went with my family or a partner, I might equally consider elsewhere. Hope this helps.

Very nice, clean and right in the middle of downtown Athens/

WE HAVE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL SEVERAL YEARS NOW AND WE HAVE FOUND THEIR ROOMS ULTRA CLEAN,SHOWER CLEAN WITH PLENTY OF HOT WATER AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY OR NIGHT, THE BEDS COMFORTABLE. THE LOCATION VERY CLOSE TO THE METRO AND RESTAURANTS VERY NEAR WALKING DISTANCE WITH GOOD FOOD. THIS HOTEL HAS VERY REASONABLE RATES FOR ALL CONCERNS, THE MANAGEMENT IS HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY OFFERING ADVISE AND DIRECTIONS TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. WE RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY. WE FOUND NO BUG!

Very good hotel in the center of Athens .

In overall, the hotel was good. Its location makes it the best choice to stay at Athens. Its near everything, restaurants, shops, train station, supermarket and some famous attractions. The room was ok, however, our room was on the small side. They have a small restaurant at 2nd floor. Staff was friendly and gave my a fair deal.

We asked for a queen bed and got two twin beds. I/m not sure they know what a queen bed is. The hotel was close to the Sightseeing Bus, the underground rail/subway, the post office, some good restaurants and bakeries. We could also walk to different sight seeing areas. The nightlife was a little scary as there were ladies of the night although they did not both us.

The quality and price for this hotel was excellent value, especially as it is located in the heart of Athens. However the location tends to be towards the seamy part of Athens, even though it is only 1 kilometre from Syntagma square/ Monastriaki square ( 2 stops only on the metro from Omonia square).

bit of a dirty area and you have to walk about 20-30 mins to get to the main sight seeing areas, but right on the metro so no problem. very bready cakey breakkie, but still, for me it was great value for money

The area surrounding this hotel is very bad. We saw drug users and drug sellers everywhere with 3 block of this hotel.
