This property underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2004 and has been well maintained ever since, with ongoing small renovations each year, particularly in 2008. It prides itself on its attention to detail and personal touches. There are many pieces of art situated throughout the hotel demonstrating this.Great value in a very central location, this hotel is highly recommended. (1108/AC) This is a 10-storey modern block with balconies on each floor, fairly typical of the area although more upmarket and better maintained than most of its neighbors. This hotel has one of the best central locations for access to both the shopping and historic sightseeing areas of Athens. The Acropolis, Plaka and Psirri areas and main shopping streets are all within walking distance of the hotel. For those who wish to venture further afield or for airport and port arrivals, Omonia metro station is just around the corner (two minutes' walk).

The main restaurant maintains the contemporary theme of the hotel. It is painted in a cream colour giving it a bright feel, with pine furniture complemented by red and black soft furnishings. There is a selection of Greek and International dishes on offer. During summer, meals and drinks can be enjoyed in the rooftop restaurant which commands superb views of the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill. The hotel now also boasts a brand new ground floor brasserie.

This is a well run hotel with excellent, well trained and attentive staff. The view of the Acropolis from the rooftop Restaurant and Bar is splendid. The rooms are comfortable and the room cleaning staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast
buffet is ample and tasty. I recommend that you give it a try. I am a repeat visitor and generally plan to stay there when on business in Athens.

Nice place, bad neighbors
Great view of the Acropolis from my room balcony and the rooftop terrace. A/c worked but didn't drown out traffic noise. Prostitutes were abundant right around the corner and drug dealers and users were a couple of doors down from the hotel and
also around the corner. Facility appeared clean but my room had bugs on the bed and walls. The hotel staff did not offer to reduce my hotel fare when I told them about the bug problem. Staff was very informative and helpful about dining options in the area and they called a cab for me when I departed.

View of Parthenon worth stay
The hotel was a five minute walk from the Omonia metro (subway) station. The street on which the hotel is located was a straight walk (10-12 minutes) to the Acropolis. Great restaurants and shopping surrounded the hotel. The rooftop restaurant/bar
had a breathtaking view of the Parthenon. And after sunset, the Parthenon is lighted making the view even more spectacular. The hotel staff acted more like relatives than the expected service staff at most hotels. They were friendly and sometimes brusk, but always caring. The elevators are quirky, the rooms clean and comfortable, the food delicious. Can't beat it for the price.
