The STANLEY Hotel is a 4 stars hotel. Hotel is located 700 meters from the city center of Athens, and 1,5 Km from the Syntagma Square, a forty five minutes drive from the Airport and the nearest sandy shore and Subway station on site. The hotel was built in 1966, and renovated its rooms and restaurant in 2003, and its restaurant, Reception and lounges and conference space recently.

Okay Hotel in an not so great area

The hotel was a pretty standard large tourist hotel in a not so great area. It was central to nothing and the only plus was that it was right over the metro. Staff service was so so. The breakfast was pretty good with a wide variety of hot and cold options. Coffee was okay. Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a package deal from Gate 1 Travel. It pretty much caters to these travel tour groups. I had asked and was told that the room I had was nonsmoking. However, it smelled pretty bad. It did have a nice view of the acropolis which was a plus, but it is on a very noisy part of town even with the balcony door shut. Beds were not particularly comfortable, but the room was pretty spacious.

You can stay if you wish! but

You can stay if you wish! but it is not an exclusive and convinient place. I would not choose it again. Elevators are poor and you have to wait for a long time, personal looks very tired, no smiles. Only check out was quick and I got a smile! probably reason was that they don't see us anymore:-)

Even though the best places to

Even though the best places to see and eat aren't necessarily within walking distance, the metro station is right out in front of the building making it very easy to get around. It is more of a convention hotel, but does have accessible balconies and a decent view from the roof. The rooftop pool is very small, but the bar & restaurant on the roof are nice (expect hotel prices).

Great roof top restaurant.

The restaurant at the roof-top offered an excellent view of the accropolis area. The food excellent. Had fried calamari that was outstanding. Wonderful texture very soft, would hightly recommend it. The room was comfortable for three persons. The bathroom was roomy with its own hair dryer. The location was great for riding the metro. The station was right there. Far to walk to the accropolis but you could ride the metro there.
