Description
The Ionian Konstantinoupolis Hotel was built during the British Protectorate -1814 - 1864. It first operated as a Hotel offering room and board by a family from Konstantinoupolis who moved to Corfu to escape the Turks. Considering its advantageous position by the main port the hotel was in a great demand between the business world of the time as well as the high society of Europe who chose Corfu for their holidays. From 1878 up until 1993 -when it closed down- the hotel attracted various celebrities and artists who came to the island to perform. The Konstantinoupolis is a fully renovated hotel with great respect to the history and the architectural tradition of Corfu. It disposes 31 rooms all with bathroom and fully equipped with Air Conditioning, TV and telephone. The hotel is located in the center of the Old Port with easy access to the town's exits and entries eliminating the need to cross the busy commercial section.

An older hotel with a lot of character. Two triple rooms met our (6 ladies) expectations - price, location, cleanliness. Was noisy with windows open due to market activity but with the AC on and the windows closed, was very quiet. Nice selection on the breakfast buffet with an attendant to replenish as needed. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful room with a view of the beach from the balcony (watched the sun rise over the sea in the morning!), and it was spotlessly clean with a great power shower. The resort itself has beautifully kept grounds with lots of plants and flowers.
The staff were exceptional - each and every one was friendly, charming and couldn't do enough to help, without being overbearing or intrusive - can't praise them highly enough.
There's a great spa which we spent a morning in (hydrotherapy pool, massage, gym), but the majority of our time was spent on the well kept beach, which was so peaceful - all you could hear were the waves and the birds!
All in all a lovely break in a tranquil setting with 5* luxury treatment.

The name says it all. Lazy Acre Villa is set in an acre-wide olive grove on the edge of Agios Ionnis. And because it's surrounded by flowers and fruit trees, it's completely private perfect for long, lazy afternoons in the sun. So you get a great sense of seclusion but you've a handful of tavernas and shops close by. What's more, Aqualand the island's famous water-park is just down the road.The villa itself is a three-storey number with a cottage-like feel that belies its size. It's got four bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as a couple of living rooms. In short, it's huge. In fact, from the back it looks more like a small Roman mansion than a holiday home. But somehow it's still homely and more than a little luxurious.In terms of the layout, the ground floor is home to the living room, a double bedroom and a bathroom. Upstairs, meanwhile, you'll find an open-plan kitchen and dining area, a walk-in pantry, two double bedrooms and a bathroom. And right at the top, the attic level - reached by a spiral staircase - is almost completely self contained with a living room, double bedroom and a shower room. Factor in several balconies with countryside views, and you've got a plenty of space to play with.Dcor-wise, it's as contemporary as they come. They've used earthy tones of mushroom and cocoa to set off the vanilla-and-cream color scheme. Soft furnishings come in fabrics like suede and velour, giving things a comfy feel. And modern touches like massive mirrors, u-shaped sofas and chunky woodwork bring things bang up to date.They've kept comfort in mind outside, too. Wooden deck chairs and sun loungers freckle the lawn. A giant hammock swings between the trees. And white canvas parasols provide plenty of shade. Plus you'll find tables and chairs dotted around the tiered sun terraces. Corfu is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea. The island is steeped in history and it is perennially connected to the history of Greece starting from Greek mythology. Appropriately enough, Corfu being an island, its name is connected to two powerful water symbols: Poseidon, god of the sea and "Asopos", an important Greek mainland river. According to the myth, Poseidon fell in love with the beautiful nymph "Korkyra", daughter of "Asopos" and the river nymph "Metope", and abducted her, as was the custom among gods of that era - Zeus himself was a serial offender. Poseidon brought her to the hitherto unnamed island and, being in marital bliss, offered her name to the place. Together they had a child they called "Phaiax" after whom the inhabitants of the island were named: "Phaiakes", which was then transliterated via Latin to "Phaeacians". This myth, with its themes of romance between a powerful god and a beautiful nymph, with a trace of adventure, centred around the element of water, is suggestive of the special ambience of the place. The island's history is full of battles and conquests, indicative of Corfu's turbulent position in a historical vortex that lasted until modern times, when after the unification with modern Greece in 1864 the history of the island became one with the mainland's, with no more foreign intervention. The legacy of these struggles remains in the form of two castles that enclose the city. It is the only city in Greece to be surrounded by castles this way and as a result has officially been declared as a Kastropolis (Castle city) by the Greek Government.

Sur les conseils de notre hôtes nous avons testé la taverne "Bacchus" à l'extremite de la plage de Messonghi...à 300m de l'hotel ... un régal...et l'accueil chaleureux de l'hôtesse du lieu... à recommander...nous avons visité la partie sud de l'ile et Corfou...Nous avions dans les premiers jours de notre séjour parcouru le nord de l'ile a partir de Pyrgi...

Understated, contemporary styled, unique apartments within a beautiful natural setting. Only a short walk to the beach, shops and several restaurants. Mesonghi is a quiet little resort great for families but these apartments are just too good to be shared, should be treated as a little bit of luxury and be savoured for adults looking for peace and perfection. The owner speaks perfect English but his mother deserves a mention as she works so hard to keep the area and apartments up to a high standard..bed linen and towels changed every two/three days and all areas cleaned with care. Only missing a pool which prevents a five star recommendation otherwise highly rated by us! Would love to return!

This property benefits from a good location for access to both Corfu Town and Mon Repos beach and offers good value for money. (07/08 EP) This is a traditional style,three storey,cream/apricot coloured building. Located on Corfu, the northernmost of the Ionian islands, this hotel is conveniently on the outskirts of Corfu Town near Garitsa Bay. It is also a very short transfer (ten minutes) from the airport. The nearest beach is just under 1km away. There are many shops, restaurants, bars and tavernas nearby.

Description
The Hotel is situated in the middle of a beautiful Garden full of orange trees and flowers. It is considered as one of the best hotels in Corfu due to the high standards of service as well as the warm hospitality it offers.
The Hotel is recently renovated. All the rooms have their own private bathroom-direct phone line-tv set-air conditioning-balcony and free WiFi .
The lounge area-the indoor bar and the restaurant with their elegant furniture and high windows create a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. American buffet breakfast is served in the dinning room.
