Great value
For the price, can't do much better in Heraklion. The room was clean and nice, and our stay included breakfast which was quite good. The service was friendly and responsive. The only down side was that the hotel location - the surrounding neighborhood is not at all exciting and the hotel is located just outside the city walls which is not very convenient if you're in Crete to sightsee, but it is on the way to the Palace of Knossos.

The front desk sells bus tickets for the Palace of Knossos, and the bus stop is a short walk from the hotel, in front of the entrance to the cemetary.

Friendly and quite luxurious
This hotel is a very pleasant place to stay. The rooms were quite spacious and very comfortable with all the mod cons including computer access. The breakfast was very generous and all the staff very helpful. The restaurant was also good. It is a 15 minute walk down to the centre of town which was a slight inconvenience.

It's a step above the rest!
It is an excellent value for the $. Everything was first rate including free, quality internet service. Only fault, very limited parking.

Oasis in Crete
This hotel is a great place to stay when you are visiting Crete.....it is a 10- 15 minute walk to all sites in Heraklion and a 10 minute cab ride from the airport and to Knossos. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, well furnished, and clean. The pool was closed for repairs but it is a good size...... they have a great breakfast and the restaurant and bar serve both lite fare and a full menu. The business center offers free internet access.

Great location for getting out of town, we rented a car and did not have any major trouble getting out of the city. Also good for walking into the center of Iraklio.

Big Sun
Very Elegant Hotel But Pool Closes Early
This was a really wonderful hotel! It made us feel rich with how elegant it was. The staff is very accomadating, in fact when we checked out we had to leave before breakfast was served and they gave us a free breakfast to go box! The free breakfast buffet is amazing with so many different selections! The location is so so, it at least allows you to get a little exercise! The pool was nice looking, but I was never able to use it because it was only open from 9am to 7pm. That was there only downfall. They also have free wireless internet which is great, just ask at the front desk for a sign in sheet. The rooms were also really nice and the made was so kind as to put my moms pj's back on the bed after very decortive! We had a good laugh about that but thought it was really thoughtful! And a little advice about going on the east/west crete tours, they tend to be REALLY long and sometimes the tour guide sucks at describing things. I would recommend the West crete tour if you are thinking of going on one. Oh and a taxi to the hotel from the airport should only cost 10 euros.

There is this wonderful restaurant that serves great greek food for a great price thats about a block away. When you leave the hotel go straight across the street and turn left. Its the last restaurant on this street. Oh and there servings are huge so you might wanna just share one meal between 2 people.

great location
the galaxy iraklio hotel was very conveniently located....close to the airport ...walking distance to the port and to several museums and restaurants...the staff was helpful...could have been a little friendlier...but the room and convenience made up for their impatience...i would stay there again and will recommend it to my friends

Excellent hotel de luxe à un prix
Excellent hotel de luxe à un prix competitif.Service trés pro,aimable,attentionné.En francais s'il vous plaît tant à la reception qu'au petit dejeuner ... Petit dejeuner copieux,piscine sympathique et isolée de l'environnement urbain ...La chambre qui nous a été proposée etait une "executive" ,en surclassement donc sans que nous ayons rien reclamé . Excellent emplacement à proximité d'un quartier trés vivant,commercant,mais isolé,prés du port et à 15 minutes de l'aeroport d'Héraklion.A recommander vraiment pour decouvrir Heraklion ou au retour dun périple dans les îles ( 5antorin à 2h de bateau rapide ) avant de reprendre l'avion ....
