The Sun beach resort complex is a magnificent 4* hotel located in the popular resort of Ialyssos (Trianta area), just a few kilometres away from Rhodes town and its International airport (10 minutes drive on either side). The complex consists of 2 renovated buildings, one situated right on the sandy and shingle beach of Ialyssos with the second one just 30 meters away, surrounded by 35000 sqm of land with stunning gardens stretching all the way down to the sea. Sun Beach resort offers a fun and relaxing holiday environment with an impressive range of accommodation, fine cuisine & bars and a high standard of warm and personal service representing the ideal choice for couples, individuals and families that seek affordable quality. The resort is suitable for people with walking difficulties and wheelchair users.
The Sun Beach Resort Complex consists of 87 standard questrooms, 18 family rooms, 88 studios and 112 suite Apartments (3 suitable for the less mobile), all of which renovated and comfortably furnished with a balcony, a private bath/shower combination, safe deposit box, hairdryer, telephone, Internet access (chargeable extra), satellite TV, radios and air-conditioning in operation from 01/06-30/09. Studios and apartments are equipped with kitchenettes featuring cooking rings, microwaves, kettles and toasters.
The hotel also features an extensive program for children (with enhanced safety measures) including dedicated Kids Suits equipped with Sony play station games, a mini club and playground as well as entertainment for both adults and children of all ages.
Couples and individuals can set back by the pools and relax on the numerous sun beds with the company of a refreshing cocktail or fresh juice, or through the various sport facilities including a five-a-side football court, tennis, table tennis and beach volley courts or even practise their surfing skills at the windsurfing academy adjacent to the hotel. Fine dining to the local sea side restaurants, cosy bars and a number of local shops add up on the overall experience ensuring a unique leisure experience.

- The Standard guest rooms (23 sq. m. / 248 sq. ft.) are modern and cosy and can accommodate up to 3 persons in a twin bedroom and a separate single bed. The rooms have centrally controlled air-conditioning and heating (24 hour operation centrally controlled from June to September), satellite TV with music channels, international direct dial telephones in bedroom & bathroom, access to the internet and feature a WC with granite bench, bath with a shower attachment and a furnished private balcony or terrace. Additional amenities include a writing desk corner, mini fridge, hairdryer, safe deposit box (chargeable), magnetic key cards, smoke detector in the bedroom, sound proof windows and enhanced safety features. All standard guestrooms offer a land or garden view and are available for single use.

The restaurant is pleasantly decorated with soft dcor in tones of fresh green, white linen-topped tables and wooden furniture creating a stylish yet relaxed dining atmosphere. With a seating capacity of 250 people, the restaurant features rich buffet, dishes on display to facilitate your choice, show cooking and curvery just to name a few. Vegetarian options and children easy to reach buffet are available on a daily basis. Regular themed evening meals take place based on Mediterranean, Italian, Ethnic and Mexican cuisines while gluten-free or specific meals in line with any religious requirements can be prepared upon request. Dress code applies only during dinner in the Artemis Main restaurant.

- Dionysos a la carte restaurant is situated next to the 3 pools in the Aparthotel building serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in a true holiday atmosphere. The restaurant has a total seating capacity of 200 people and offers a carefully balanced selection of dishes to satisfy all tastes while the in-house bar serves fresh juices, smoothies, refreshing drinks and alcoholic beverages in the terrace. Buffet themed nights with entertainment are organized every Wednesday (Greek night) and Friday (barbeque night) and can be booked locally at the hotel.

Great hotel, good location
Had a great time here, though it was very windy so even if the hotel was pretty good I would instead recommend others to stay on the other side of the island which is not as windy. Perfect location for wind surfers though!
