Hotels in Thira - Imerovigli, Santorini

Sehr romatisches Hotel! Extrem freundliches Personal. Aussicht ist einfach fantastisch! Kommt sehr darauf an, welches Zimmer man bekommt. Frühstück wird auf Privat-Terasse gebracht. Pool ist klein.

Excellent staff, location, great food nearby, rent an Atv and you can see the entire Island, romms were great, best view by far

Seeing Santorini is best done by car. The walks to Fira from Tholos Resort are possible but uphill on the way back from town. The resort itself requires lots of stair-walking from the rooms to the pool and to to the road. The staff was very generous and friendly although not always knowledgeable about the details for sightseeing, directions to various parts of the island, maps, etc. Anyone with physical disabilities would find this a difficult place to stay.

The hotel is bit far from all the action, but close enough to the bus station, the staff had a wonderful disposition and were very eager to assist!! Family of 4 from New York!!

The location of this hotel is great. It is within walking distance to great shopping and nightlife in fira. The hotel is on a one way street and has great parking very close. The pool and showers are very nice. The staff is not extremley friendly but did accomodate us well. The rooms in the pictures look very nice but must be taken at some interesting angles. We were looking for a luxury hotel for one night for our wedding party. I wish we would have spend the extra money and stayed at the wedding site which was the donnas villas.

Bei Ankunft am Flughafen kein Transferbus. Als wir am morgen sehr früh ca. 06.50 ankamen, mussten wir auf unser Zimmer warten. Das war uns klar, weil wir gelesen hatten, Zimmer erst ab 14.00 Uhr frei. Aber uns wurde versprochen, dass wir um 08.00 Uhr ein Zimmer bekommen. So gegen 08.30 Uhr wurden wir zum Zimmer geführt. Ueberraschung: das Zimmer war belegt. Schöne Enttäuschung! Uns wurde ein anderes Zimmer gezeigt, viel kleiner und überhaupt nicht schön! Kein warmes fliessendes Wasser, man musste ca. eine halbe Stunde warten. Um l3.00 Uhr bekamen wir endlich unser erstes Zimmer, dass uns am Anfang gezeigt wurde, aber besetzt war. Wir haben so einen halben Tag vertrödelt! Man hätte uns sagen können, Zimmer erst um 14.00 Uhr, dann hätten wir uns anderst organisiert! Weiter: das Duschgel war fertig, habe freundlich für Nachschub gefragt, aber es kam nichts. Wir mussten ohne duschen. Zwei Mal ging unsere Türe nicht auf, der Chip funktionierte nicht! Kein prompter Service. Einmal fehlten die Handtücher! Einmal fehlte das WC Papier! Am Vorabend vor unserer Abreise, haben wir bei der Reception ein Taxi schon vorbestellt und den Call Boy für unser Gepäck organisiert. Am morgen bei der Abreise, haben wir uns verabschiedet, verliessen das Hotel, der Tranferbus war pünktlich da. Im Transferbus waren noch zwei Hotelgäste. Es verging eine Viertelstunde, kein Gepäck. Da haben wir ins Hotel angerufen, der Receptionist hatte mir gesagt, er finde keinen Call Boy. Wir mussten eine halbe Stunde auf unser Gepäck warten. Die anderen Hotelgäste waren wütend und wir auch! Wir sind sehr enttäuscht über den Service von diesem Hotel! Wirklich Schade, Dienstleistung gleich Null! Kein Viersternhotel, kein kompetentes Personal, kein prompter Service für den ziemlich teuren Aufenthalt! Und zuletzt mussten wir noch Euro 25 für den Bustransfer bezahlen!

The hotel is in a great location, but nothing fancy. Large pool and they do have a restaurant, but you'll want to stay here because it is so centrally located to transportation and downtown. People were nice and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at Kallisti Thera. While the room was a little disappointing (size, bathroom, linens, etc.), the hotel environment made up for it. The outdoor pool and bar were peaceful and relaxing, with great space and staff. The continental breakfast was an added bonus, with some local foods as well as cereal, eggs, and breads. We enjoyed the location most. This hotel is not on the cliff-edge of Santorini, so if you're looking for that, this is not it. We were looking for a place that was in the city (Thera) center but was quiet and where we didn't need to fight for a pool space or hear the nightlife all night long, but could have a short walk to restaurants and cliff views. This hotel is one block from the best views on Santorini and yet was restful. The hotel environment competes with the beauty of Santorini and at times we just wanted to lounge at the hotel more than walk through the city.

The reviews tell it all. It's a great place to stay in Santorini. Perfect relaxation spot for honeymoonrs and people getting away for the holidays.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The view from the balcony was amazing. Breakfast was included with our room and was served on our private balcony every morning! The staff are so helpful and Sofia (Manager) is so friendly. However, Imerovigli is far from the main town and amenities, such as travel agents, so book ferry tickets in advance. Also, stay away from Sunbird ATV and car rentals in Imerovigli - terrible and rude service, unreliable rentals, and they overcharge. They are known to "rip off" their customers.

The hotel we stayed was not the one we booked but at least the location is better and the room we stayed has a fabulous sea view! The owner of the hotels tried to put all the guests in one hotel because it was an off season for the island. The problem is the room is very small, the toilet cover was broken. In the first morning we got up, to our surprise there were no water, we found out the water tank for the house was out of water so we had to wait for a while for the water to come. The staff was very nice but did not speak much English so it was hard to ask for anything.

The staff was nice and the hotel was clean. It was about 15 minute was to Thira center so it wasn't bad.

Close access to the cliffside walkway and town of Fira. Bed linens and towels were dated, but clean and acceptable. Breakfast was complimentary. No restaurant on site, but many available within walking distance. No amenities at hotel other than standard bathroom toiletries. Our room was a separate apartment from the hotel with a very nice balcony with table and chairs.

Location high on the cliff overlooking Santorini is outstanding; small well run hotel, even tho it has limited facilities worked very well for us as it was an easy walk into fira itself along the cliff tops; our balcony faced due west, so we could sit there sipping a glass of wine watching the sun set over, one of the great experiences of any holiday. Also has the advantage that far enough from the downtown area that the sudden influx of four or five thousand people off the cruise ships never ventured close enough to bother us.

I spent 18 days at Apolofsi Villas at the end of August. The manager and his wife were simple great. Takis and Katerina were always ready with a suggestion as to where to go on the island. Be it restaurants, beaches, watch repair or whatever, Takis knows the island like the back of his hand and shares his knowledge with his guests. And that is just how they make you feels, like treasured guests, not customers. I truly felt like a member of their extended family. If you want to visit this magic island and learn it's secrets, visit Takis and Katerina and discover the true magic that is Greece and Thira. There is no pool, but you should go to the beaches anyhow, however if you are a sit at the hotel in the pool person, this is not for you. The sunsets from Imerovigli are captivating and a sundown cocktail from the terrace is not to be missed. Imerovigli is the ideal location, away from the hustle and bustle of Thira and Oia but close enough for when you want to experience either place. Many people would say that 18 days is too long on Thira, but I could have stayed longer and will certainly return. In the typical short visit, one can only brush the surface of the magic of Santorini, take the time and savor the true Santorini, meet the people and R E L A Xxxxxxx

We were so impressed with how beautiful this resort was! Beautful flowers that were picture quality. The rooms and resort is immaculate--great pool, wonderful staff!!

It locates Thira Downtown. It is close to Bus Terminal. The location is good. And so cheap, clean, cute. The reception is kind. I was satisfied. The breakfast is good.

I went on two tours my first two days and on my third day I rented a motorcycle and drove around the island. SO much fun! The location is ideal. Three blocks from the amazing view of the caldera. Two blocks from the bus station. Service is great. The reception is not open 24 hours so make sure they are there when you arrive. The only downside is that the shower is awkwardly constructed and small AND the breakfast was very simple. Check the bread before you eat it. Overall though, it was very clean and the people were friendly.
