VIP Suites
VIP Suites is located on the cliffs of Oia, Santorini. The views from the suites are absolutely spectacular - they are in perfect position for the famous sunsets of Oia. The room we had was larger than we expected - we had a suite complete with a mini kitchen, common area and bedroom. All the rooms have balcony views, though most of the rooms seemed smaller than ours. The pool was not large, but it was perfect for the hot sun. What was confusing was that VIP Suites does not have a lobby - you have to check in at the tourist information center, located near the bus stop in Oia's center. The hotel does not tell you this before you arrive, so it seems like someone is trying to scam you, but it really is the normal procedure. You then have to wait for someone to guide you to you room. The hotel is in a good location except for the fact that you do have to walk a decent ways up hill to get to Oia center, but the view from your room will really make the trip worthwhile. The rooms were clean and were equipped with a small television, air conditioning and refrigerator.

Short drive from hotel
We would highly recommend eating dinner at Ellis in Fira. It was the most delicious meal of our two week trip. We ordered a traditionally prepared fish with lemon and herbs, Itlian style mussels, and an eggplant appetizer. The service was outstanding and spot on. It also had a great view of the sunset.
