Perfect Boutique Hotel Chain
I recommend staying at the Butterfly on Wellington, but they had to move us to the Morrison location, which was fine. But the Wellington is super well located, in the middle of shopping and restaurants. The location of the Butterfly Morrison is far from Central, but near shopping at Times Square. The staff at the Morrison were great, very friendly and inviting. They made us feel very comfortable. The room was small, but nice amenities and clean room and bathroom.

Central location, clean rooms, perfect for a weekend "home base"
The Butterfly on Wellington is located in a great mid levels neighborhood spot and provides the perfect location as a jumping off point for seeing the HKG sights. Be ready to smell and see a lot of interesting things walking to and from the hotel, as this is a real working class neighborhood with a lot of locally frequented eateries and shops. The hotel is clean, modern and well designed. The rooms are definitely small as other posters mentioned. But, if it's just a couple looking for a weekend adventure, it's perfect. I would not advise families to stay here. We had a great view of the skyline, a well appointed bathroom that was newly updated with nice tile and vessel sink. The bed was comfortable. Rooms have access to a wired internet connection; wireless is only available in the lobby. Had there been wireless in the room I would have rated amenities a 5. The room was cleaned each day and stocked with complimentary drinking water. Can't beat that. The hotel staff was welcoming and friendly. Very helpful giving us tips of places to see and where to eat. The lobby includes a bank of iMacs to research your own activities, check email, etc. For the price we paid, this was a great hotel and put us in the perfect spot to walk to attractions, pubs, restaurants. We never used a cab the entire time we were in HKG.

Short walk from hotel
Luk Yu Tea House is just a block down and about three blocks over from the hotel. Stop in for some amazing dumplings and steamed BBQ pork buns. None of the staff speak English, but they will provide an English menu for ordering. They take Visa and MC.

It's really central, walks 5 minutes
It's really central, walks 5 minutes to MTR, 5 minutes to many superb eateries, SOHO, travellator. Landmark shopping mall... Wet market right outside so bit smelly but once hotel has very pleasant smell n atmosphere. Free internet is a plus. Room size in HK is considered good size.

Great find in the heart of Hong Kong
You can't beat the location. It's so central to everything and just a few-minute walk to Central MTR station or Hong Kong station for the Airport Express. There's dining and nightlife within reach. The hotel is a bit removed from the financial center so it feels more like the real Hong Kong with the narrow streets, hole-in-the-wall eateries and allies filled with produce vendors, but close enough to Central with tourists, business travelers and revelers (a la nearby Lan Kwai Fong) mixed in there. It's great for the leisure traveler who doesn't want to spend a fortune on the luxury hotels on the island. The rooms are Oriental-chic; simple, aesthetic, and very clean. The beds were a bit hard for my taste and small as they only had rooms with single beds left. The rooms might be considered small for some but are typical by Hong Kong standards. There is no food service or snacks available in the hotel, so you have to go outside the hotel for your late-night fix. The free extras, such as bottled water, coffee/tea, internet (hard-wired in your room, wifi in the lobby) are nice. Front desk staff is cordial and helpful.

Short walk from hotel
If you have just flown in from overseas and wake up at 2am starving (as I was due to jet lag), ask the front desk how to get to the Frying Pan, a 24 hour diner. It is just a few blocks away up the hill and serves tasty American breakfast.

Great service and fantastic location
Great service and fantastic location just a few minutes walk from Central metro, the airport express, shops and restaurants. Room was clean and modern with a great shower and all the usual facilities - kettle, fridge, safe. Was on the 8th floor and couldn't hear any traffic noise. Wellington is a quiet street anyway. If I had to be picky, then I would mention the stained carpet and the glass doors on the bathroom provided limited privacy if I hadn't been on my own. I would live with these minor faults and stay here again if I return to Hong Kong.

I was told that I was upgraded
I was told that I was upgraded to Deluxe Room, on 12th floor but not quite sure what the difference was. But no complains, everything works and the way they should be. The reception staff were courteous and friendly, check-in process was quick and painless. The room was good, clean. Like the fact that the safe although not a big one, was big enough to keep my 13" MacBook Air with a slight corner maneuvering. In-room wired broadband was great and no hassle. The bathroom glass door is a bit of a shocker, as you can still see your roommate doing their business or taking a shower. But of course, not sure if they are the same in twin-bedded rooms though? Overall, the location is very central. Lots of nice eating places along Wellington Street, and if you want some shoppings, M&S or H&M are along Queen's Road Central, and the Central Escalator is just 2 mins away. Will stay there again if I have to be in Central or Hong Kong Island.

Great location, great price, good room
We walked around Lan Kwai Fong during the day and night, there are markets, bars, and great resturants. Room was small, but had everything we needed, a slight smell form the bathroom, but we only stayed one night. Very modern and clean.

Great location, value moderate
We actually stayed here 2 nights flying through HK. Lobby and reception staff were great and courteous. Got a room on 7th floor which was very cute, clean, but something from the bathroom pipes really SMELLED and given the room is so tiny, it permeated through our room. The 2nd night we stayed (a week later), we checked in late. Staff again were courteous. We likely got the worst room in the hotel b/c they were booked full that night. On 2nd floor, carpets were stained. This room was actually smaller than the first, but no smell from the pipes. Had we had the room on the 7th floor with no smell from the pipes, this would have been an AMAZING stay. The hotel is centrally located and all in all, it is a great value for the $. I am wondering if we just had a little bad luck with the rooms we got. Service was also quite good and everyone was incredibly helpful with free internet access in lobby.
