Empire Hotel Hong Kong Causeway Bay

Spent 5 nights here during the Hong Kong 7's 2012, not the swankiest of locations but we could walk to the ground (20mins) So ideal! Breakfast was OK with a fair selection of hot and cold food. Could have done with some more information on the facilities as we did not realise the bar was on the top floor until we were leaving! The rooms are small, and could do with some more storage space, but we were not in them long! Beds were very comfortable. Staff were helpful and would run down the road to get you a cab. Would not go there with kids.

It was a great location. We were closed to anything and everything. It was clean, magical and personal. I give this hotel a 5 stars.

My friends and I traveled from mainland China for the annual Rugby Sevens tournament. We chose the Empire Hotel based on reviews and its location at Causeway Bay. The location is excellent right off the main metro line only a 3 minute walk. Super convenient and easy to find plus you can get to anywhere in the city easily by metro. The lobby is very posh and service was good. The downfall was the room size... TINY! , expected small because it is H.K. and space is limited... we only had 2 tiny single beds to share with 3 people so we had to push them together and sleep sideways and had limited floor space to put our bags. Also, the bathroom was very cramped and not designed well. The shower will flood the rest of the bathroom floor. The views were great, huge TV, mini bar, comfy beds ( even with our cramped situation). Overall we liked the place for it's convenience and comfort. Would be great for 2 people... 3 people is a little much for a room here.

The room is a little small but quite comfortable with a nice big screen TV at the end of the bed. Location is handy, only minutes away from the MTR and walkable to Causeway Bay shops/Sogo/Times Square (10-15 mins). The price was quite high but booking last minute I had very little choice, especially Saturday night was about 2-3 times more than other nights, not sure if there was some special event on or that's always the case for Saturdays in HK. If it was cheaper I'd have no hesitation staying here again, although slightly concerning is that the luggage storage area is behind a curtain screen in what appears to be like a driveway, so not too sure about how safe it it, I think they chain the suitcases but still a bit concerning!

THE LCD in the room displayed a " wellcome message and wish us a pleasant evening during our stay". Just want to highlight the the lightening in the lift was a big dark and it was difficult for people with not good eye sight to see

I was visiting Hong Kong for both business and leisure. This hotel was in a perfect location. Very close to subway, the rooms were quiet at night and very friendly staff. Only drawback was the room was on the small side. I would stay here again.

Stayed here for 18 nights. We were switched to another room on day12 due to a leaking toilet. After we settled in the new room, the safe wasn't working but they were able to arrange a mechanic to fix it immediately. To my surprise, I received a Tiramisu cake and birthday card on my special day thru room service. Service was efficient and friendly. Great location. We will definitely stay here again.
