Business & Pleasure
I have stayed in this hotel couple of years ago and i was disappointed with their meet and greet. if you upgrade to the Harbor Club beware that although it is good value if it is two of you however broadband connection was terrible and some of the cocktail snacks were not warm enough.

Great business location
Needed 1 night in HK and Harbour Plaza Metropolis was the perfect choice. Very easy walk from Hung Hom station after arriving from Shenzhen. Short taxi ride to Airport Express station made it simple to catch early morning flight. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms are well maintained and adequate in size given standard in HK. Many dining options in attached mall. I will definitely be back.

Nice to be away from the City
Have stayed at the Metropolis about 6 times and it gets better each time. Although it is at Hung Hom, which makes it relatisvely quiet, the shuttle bus is very regular and only takes 10 mins into TST. We were upgraded to a suite without asking and they very kindly allowed a late check out as we had an early evening flight to Hanoi. Attached to a mall with food court upstairs, 7-11 and small supermarket, there is also a very good laundry at the hotel entrance to the mall which is very cheap.. Pool is great and excellent CV and weights gym. If you get the chance get a taxi (very cheap) to the harbour plaza over at whampoa and go to the waterfront bar. Happy hour is 5-8 pm except Sunday and drinks are 2 for 1. Best views of HK harbour and reasonable drinks and cocktails at happy hour. Also excellent value is Wah Hing Jewellery on Mody Road and we have been using them since 1987 when we were stationed in HK with the Army

Business trip
Everything was great at this hotel. The fact that it was close to the MTR and all of the shopping and restaurants was a definite plus. I went over to Tsim Sha Sui easily and without headache. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus too. This was the best value I have had in HK in a long time

Skip the expensive restaurants at the hotel and the mall and just take the MTR over to TST for half the price.

Room was tiny with a slight odor - but typical of area
I had several days to kill and decided to spend 2 nights in HK. Though my comments would apply to most any 4 star hotel in this (or any other popular) HK area, I still wanted to share the fact that the actual room was TINY (suitable only for a single person) and there was a stale odor that amplified the lack of comfort every time I walked into my room. The building, lobby, and convenient shuttles to downtown were great.

nice place to stay
Harbour Plaza Metropolis is a nice hotel. Nothing fancy (although lobby looks nice), but clean and comfortable. We stayed in a suite since we had 3 people. The tv (and overall decor) was dated (but tv was rarely turned on so it didn't matter to us!) and you do have to pay extra for internet (used daily by us!). Service in the lobby is hit or miss. Sometimes there is someone opening doors for you, sometimes not. Again, not a huge deal. The service at the front desk was not especially welcoming on arrival, but the concierge was very helpful on subsequent days. Check out was fine. The price was decent, and the stay was comfortable. One of the best services the hotel provides is a free shuttle to the Penninsula Hotel/Kowloon Hotel (they are across the street from one another), which puts you in the center of Tsim Sha Tsui. I would stay here again.

I have to admit I was expecting more from a hotel located in Kowloon. My room was terribly small, with an old CRT television (at least a flat panel would've given me a little more valuable space to put my things). During my morning shower, the hot water slowed to a literal trickle, which is something I've never experienced in a 4-star hotel. The hotel was quiet though, the lunch buffet was wonderful, the staff was friendly. I would stay here again, but I would set my expectations lower.

Take the Airport Express train from the airport to Kowloon (if you're staying in Kowloon), or Hong Kong (if you're staying on Hong Kong Island). Buy a round-trip. Then take a short cab ride from the train station to your hotel. It's quick (30 minutes from the airport to Hong Kong Island), inexpensive, and reliable. The big bonus is that on your way home, you can check your luggage at the Airport Express Train Station and avoid the long lines at the airport.
