A hostel conveniently located in the no too good Mongkok area
I wouldn't call this a hotel. It is a hostel or dorm with a tiny private bath. The hotel is located at the Mongkok area (not too nice part of Kowloon). It's better to stay in the Tsimshatsui area of Kowloon or Central/Causeway Bay on the Hong Kong Iswland. The hotel is steps away from the airport bus stop (very convenient, and less expensive $33 HKD than the airport express train $90 HKD). Hotel is 2 to 3 blocks in-between the Mongkok and Yaumati MTR stations. The room is clean, but very tiny (that I can tolerate), almost like a small dorm room. The bathroom is very small, with the shower spraying the sink area (this I cannot tolerate). I didn't like the exposed water and sewer pipes. You need to turn on the hot water tank at least 10 - 20 minutes ahead of time. I will stay here again, only if I can't find any other hotels.

Short walk from hotel
The Langham square/mall is only 1.5 to 2 blocks away. There are very nice restaurants, cafes and great shopping.

Convenience on the road.
The hotel staff were very friendly and upon arrival the clerk and the bad man showed me the way to my room and at 1am nothing demanding was asked. The room was a standard single, small and compact but with all the things you will need - shower, air-con, toiletries. There was enough space to stick my suitcase but if you wanted to move around some more, perhaps this is not the room for you. The bed was pretty hard, but again that's pretty standard. The hotel is in a convenient location downtown. Right in the middle, close to the metro and the airport bus station.

Nicer, but like the old hotel better....
I stayed in this hotel in 2007 for a week. It had a different name and was run by a different management staff. They remodeled the hotel and upgraded the electric products and decoys, but it was a little over HK$100 less. I rather pay less money. The room is still as small as it can be. They did the best they can with the space they have. The room is simply too small. There have been improvement in other areas, but I still rather pay less money.

OK but small
You can not see the hotel from Nathan Road. It is down a side street. The rooms are really small but clean with the exception of the coffee pot...was full of old tea/coffee grounds that were left from the previous occupant and were not cleaned out while I was there (2 nights). Bathroom is very small, hot water heater must be turned on and left for twenty minutes to get a bit of hot water... water turned cool after about 20 seconds. The location is good for catching buses and subway. Walls are thin and can hear everything going on around you so bring ear plugs.

TINY room, No window
Great location for Mong Kok access. Near Langham Place, etc. BUT the room was the smallest I've ever stayed in, even smaller than the smallest in Tokyo. No room to open suitcase and open the door at the same time. In bathroom no room to take a shower except over the toilet or the tiny sink. BUT the place is clean and staff are nice. So for the price I guess I can't complain too loudly. Just be aware of what you're booking so you won't be shocked/disappointed as I was.

hostel in disguise
I have been to HK several times in the past. I'm not very spoiled and have stayed at the hostels in the mirador/chnunking mansions in the past. The MK hotel is a bit more expensive then those, and the lobby and the building are nicer, but the rooms are very similar. They are really tiny and noisy and very uncomfortable. In the summer heat it was very hard to get a good night's sleep there. If you are on the budget you might as well go to the Mirador mansion and pay a 3rd of the price. If you have a bit more money I'd suggest getting a proper hotel and enjoying HK properly. My 2 c.

Pretty good for a half self-service
Pretty good for a half self-service hotel. Location is pretty good, near the hottest area in Mong-kok. It is acceptable selection for anyone who want shopping near Nathan Road.
