Metropark Hotel Kowloon Hong Kong

The room was OK but the Staff was not friendly. Man cleaning the room (while I was in it) never smiled, only said hello after I greeted him at the door. He just said I will clean your room, no good morning, hello or anything. The front desk was boarding on rude when I asked to extend one night. I talked with three people before I got one to put me on wait list. I got the room the next morning, but what a hassle.

A descent hotel with descent amenities. A bit of a walk to the MTR, perhaps not very convenient for someone who doesn't like to walk.

I put my fiance' up at this hotel while her apartment was under renovation. She was very pleased.

We were impressed by the helpfulness of the staff especially the bellboy"Bejamin" He was very polite and accommodating. He tried his best to communicate in English and was fine. Benjamin explained to us the map of Hongkong and pointed the place to go for best dimsum. The room was clean but smelled smoke although we requested for a no smoking room. We were on the 5th floor and their smoking rooms are on 3 and 4 so smoke goes up and we can smell it in our room. Maybe it will be better if the hotel assigned smoking floors on higher floors. Overall we were satisfied with our stay in this hotel.

This hotel was well worth the money spent. The price is decent for Hong Kong, which can be quite expensive. Plus, the rooms were a bit larger than a typical Hong Kong room. The only down side is that the walk to the subway was a bit longer than I would have liked. The hotel offers a shuttle that leaves every 30 minutes. Get there early as it fills up fast and is first come, first served. I would stay here again if the prices in better located hotels were out of line.

Didn't expect the hotel to be this nice for the price. Loved the hotel resturant, Palm Court. Lots of food that I could recognize. Professional staff. Good location for the area.

This was my first time in Hong Kong and I couldn't have been more delighted with this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was lovely--luxurious bedding and towels, spacious bathroom, free Internet (cable supplied). I also thought that the food at the hotel restaurants was wonderful, especially the House of Tang. I appreciated the little touches like extra shaving kits, combs, sewing kits, and high quality bath toiletries. The location was near the Metro and in a nice neighborhood. I really appreciated the free hotel shuttles from the Airport Express, the Star Ferry, and other major tourist stops. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The hotel itself was nice. Staff were courteous and helpful and easy to communicate with in English. Room was good size, not large by American standards but fine by Asian standards. Has wired internet, which they provided a cable for. Airport Express train has free shuttle from Kowloon station to hotel. There are several restaurants, a bakery, and convenience shops nearby. The only negative thing is it is about 1 km (10-15 minute) walk to either Mong Kok or Yau Ma Tei subway stations, which makes it annoying to get to and from. (There are probably buses that alleviate that, but I didn't investigate the bus system.)
